NEW YORK – Sources said Anheuser-Busch may be tossing up a jump-ball between D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles/St. Louis and Grey Advertising/N.Y. for an undisclosed fruit-flavored beer product currently under the new product microscope at the brewery. Grey earlier this summer got its foot in the door by winning a champagne-colored beverage that was expected to go head-to-head against Coors’ Zima Clearmalt, but is currently on the back burner. Meanwhile, A-B will spend $10 million to support its upcoming Bud Bowl VI promotion on ESPN, NBC, ABC, and CBS.
