LOS ANGELES Nestle said it has consolidated its $1.5 billion global media account with WPP Group’s GroupM and Publicis Groupe’s ZenithOptimedia. Those agencies had competed in a lengthy review against a third roster shop, Interpublic Group’s Universal McCann, for the business.

The eight-month review included presentations in more than 50 countries.

UM had handled chores in the U.S., where Nestle spends $550 million-plus, per Nielsen Monitor-Plus, and in Latin America. GroupM in London was the incumbent in the U.K.,
