SAN FRANCISCO Hewlett-Packard has replaced fired CEO Carly Fiorina with former NCR president and CEO Mark Hurd, the client said on Tuesday.

Hurd, 48, had been heading NCR since March 2003. He moved up from president and COO, a post in which he led the company’s five business units.

HP’s board of directors unanimously selected Hurd, said Patricia Dunn, HP’s non-executive chairman.
