The Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association has awarded its estimated $500,000-$1 million ad account to Runyon, Saltzman & Einhorn, following a brief review.
Two undisclosed Bay Area shops also vied for the account, said executives at the Sacramento, Calif., agency.
Gigi Golb, an account manager, said the agency's experience with other NBA and Women's NBA teams helped it win the business. The agency resigned the accounts of the Sacramento Kings and the Sacramento Monarchs after winning the Warriors business earlier this month, Golb said.
The agency is working on a media plan for the Oakland, Calif.-based Warriors, she said, and is considering print, radio, outdoor and TV ads. --Jane Irene Kell
