NEW YORK America Online has hired AT&T veteran Russ Natoce as svp of brand management, a new post.

Starting Oct. 27, Natoce will be responsible for brand management across all customer contact points at the Dulles, Va.-based Time Warner Internet unit. The position was created in response to AOL’s dual focus on products and subscribers, requiring a higher level of brand orchestration and resources, according to a company representative.

“We are fortunate to have Russ, who brings with him extensive experience in customer acquisition programs and sponsorship and brand recognition,” said AOL evp of brand management Len Short, to whom Natoce will report.
