NationsBank, BofA May Split Duties On $80-100 Mil. Task

NationsBank and Bank of America are giving shops the option of pitching their entire consolidated $80-100 million ad account or any of three components: retail banking, corporate branding or international advertising, sources said. Splitting media duties and creative is also a possibility, sources said.
At least 20 shops, including the three incumbents, returned questionnaires last week.
The client is expected to trim the field to 10 or fewer shops before making visits to determine finalists. A decision is due before the two banks complete their merger on Oct.
