BOSTON Nail Communications has added the advertising account of Tyco Specialty Adhesives.
The Providence, R.I., shop picked up the business following a review of undisclosed agencies. Based in Norwood, Mass., the client is a unit of Tyco International and manufactures high-performance adhesives for medical, automotive, aerospace and other applications.
The win adds another business-to-business client to Nail's roster, in addition to McGregor Software, which the agency landed in 2000. Despite its parent company's well-publicized financial and legal woes, "Tyco Adhesives is a separate company with separate means," said agency managing partner Chuck Carmone.
Nail is charged with developing a new name and logo for the client, which will be unveiled in the next couple of weeks. A print ad campaign appearing in trade magazines will follow later in the spring, according to Carmone.
Media planning and buying will be handled by the client. A six-figure spend is likely, though no budget figure was disclosed.
Other Nail clients include Polartec, Atomic Skis and Alperts Furniture.
