NEW YORK MySpace will launch a casual gaming platform in early 2008, the News Corp.-owned company said Tuesday, in collaboration with gaming company Oberon Media.

MySpace Games will allow users of the social network to place Oberon games on their profile pages free of charge and play them along with other MySpace members. Users will also be able to chat through the games and invite others to play.

Said Amit Kapur, vp, business development at MySpace: “Our goal is to provide our members with an easy way to play with their friends and give them additional ways to interact.”
