Armed with $3 million from his father and a degree from Berklee College of Music, 25-year-old Lee Button wants to fill the gap in Boston’s commercial production scene left by Shapiro Music and Radio in the Nude.
Ultimate Music Corp. in Cambridge, Mass., offers a state-of-the-art recording studio and what Button dubbed “New York style at Boston prices.”
“It looks as much like a show home as it is a studio,” Button said.
“I just wanted to bring [to Boston] some of the styling and quality of service you get in New York.”
In addition to a bevy of unsigned bands, UMC’s client roster includes Voice Control Systems of Cambridge and English firm UCC.
