GM Contract Drives Midwestern Expansion
BOSTON–Mullen in the spring will open a Detroit office, its first outside Wenham, Mass.
The move follows the signing of a contract last fall to relaunch a General Motors-branded credit card, said agency president Joe Grimaldi.
To service the account, more than 15 Mullen employees–recruited in recent weeks from the Detroit area–are now stationed at client headquarters, Grimaldi said. Come spring, however, they will be moved to space leased by the shop and large enough to support at least 30 staffers.
So far, there is no designated manager of the Midwest operation, and Grimaldi believes it is likely to remain that way.
