Clear Blue Sky Productions, an independent film production company, has hired Mullen to launch an integrated marketing campaign for a new PBS mini-series called Evolution.

Mullen, Wenham, Mass., was chosen by the Seattle-based client following a review of undisclosed shops. The agency described the effort as a mutli-million-dollar campaign, but the exact budget was not disclosed. The eight-hour mini-series is slated to air in the fall of 2001.

The agency is well-versed in broadcast promotions, and in the late-1990s crafted an oft-awarded campaign for the Sci-Fi Channel that included a memorable spot that showed a man giving birth.
