BOSTON– Oxygen Media attacks stereotypes about women in a TV campaign set to break next week.

A 60-second spot, carrying the new tag, “Oxygen: Fresh Media for Women,” features what appears to be footage from beauty pageant contestants throughout the years telling their audience, in short sound bites, their desire for honest potrayals, rather than tired stereotypes, of women in the media.

“Somebody had to say it,” appears onscreen; the spot closes with the new tag, “Oxygen: Fresh Media for Women.”
