Mullen Adds Managing Partner

BOSTON Tom Jump starts today at Interpublic Group's Mullen as executive vice president and managing partner, the agency said.

Jump, 43, comes from IPG's Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopoulos in Boston, where he was evp, group account director on Dunkin' Donuts, CVS and The Boston Globe, among others. He reports to agency CEO Joe Grimaldi.

Jump replaces George Rogers, who left Wenham, Mass.-based Mullen in May to join WPP Group's J. Walter Thompson as the co-president of its Detroit office.

"Tom has a solid combination of agency and client-side experience with several major consumer brands," said Grimaldi, in a statement. "We were attracted to him because he's talented, a strong leader, well-liked and respected by his colleagus and clients, and because he possesses the drive and determination to do great things."

At Mullen, Jump will be part of the agency's executive team and will lead several accounts, including General Motors, XM Satellite Radio and the U.S. Department of Defense.

Prior to Hill, Hilliday, Jump was director of advertising and promotions at General Motors' Buick division. He also spent 12 years at Publicis Groupe's Leo Burnett in Chicago.
