NEW YORK Liberal group MoveOn.org's request to buy a Super Bowl spot has been declined, CBS said.
It is CBS policy not to run advocacy advertising. Had a deal gone through, it would have been the first time a political-advocacy group advertised on the big game, the group said yesterday.
Instead, it will air the ad, the winner of its "Bush in 30 Seconds" contest, the week of the State of the Union Address (scheduled for Jan. 20). "Child's Play" depicts kids working in adult jobs and questions America's future.
