TEXAS The Shapiro-Small Agency, Plano, added Allison Faust as new business director. She was previously marketing director at The Kimball Group, Chicago. Video Post & Transfer, Dallas, hired two new employees. Editor Martin Spirit arrived from The Video Lab in Johannesburg, South Africa, where he was a senior editor. New graphics and effects artist Al Lagor was previously senior graphic designer for The Golf Channel in Orlando, Fla. BB&O Advertising, Dallas, added account executive John LaCarter, formerly of Alexander/Scot in Addison, Texas, and assistant art director Cody Walker, who was previously a freelance designer. KDFW-Channel 4 in Dallas, named Kay Moseley traffic director, Ken Murphy vice president and general sales manager and Andy Alexander vice president of research and cable. Suzi Berman took on the titles of president and creative director at D Media, an Addison advertising and graphic design studio she founded in 1993. Hadeler Sullivan Ewing, Dallas, brought in account executive Joanne Morris and assistant account executive Reagan Judd to work on the Tony Roma's and Children's Medical Center accounts, plus copy editor Angela Gilbert, who spent two years as account manager at Lakewood Staffing in Dallas. Freed Advertising, Houston, appointed Kathy Allchin as media director. Allchin was previously marketing services director for Garden Ridge and media director for Stage Stores. Ornelas & Associates, Dallas, promoted Frances Casta„eda to account supervisor and Laura Hinguanzo to account executive. Casta„eda, formerly senior account executive, joined the agency in November 1995. Hinguanzo joined the agency as assistant account executive in 1996. Sara Walser has joined The Olson Group, Austin, as interactive services director. She previously was lead producer for CD-ROMs, multimedia and corporate Web site business at Human Code. Houston's KRBE-FM elevated Wendy Craven to promotion director and hired promotion assistant Tasha Coney and special events coordinator Jeff Petrovic. Christe Dodds was promoted to account supervisor at Stuart Bacon, Fort Worth, after working as an account executive since 1994. Rick Gardner was named senior vice president of sales and marketing at BMC Software, Houston. Ad2, Houston, elected its board of directors recently. Members of the organization's executive board are president Kristyn Roberts of Academy Sports & Outdoors, vice president Kathryn Giansanti of The Phillips Agency and secretary Melissa Williams of Goodwill Industries. T3, Austin, added five staffers. New to the agency are account executives Tanya Ullman and Robin Dickson, creative group head Kerry Schroeder and proofer Adrienne Booth. Ullman joins from TBWA Chiat/Day, Venice, Calif.; Dickson from GSD&M, Austin; Schroeder from SicolaMartin, Austin; and Booth from G&S Typesetters, Austin. Sherry Towery joined R.J. Kolar Advertising & Marketing, Austin, as art director. Towery worked for 10 years at Kamstra Communications, Austin, as an assistant art director and for six years at Austin Living magazine as a circulation and production manager. SicolaMartin, Austin, added five staffers. Joining the agency are creative group head Steve Wright, assistant account manager Aryn White, assistant media planner Jennifer Bollman and traffic manager Deanne Smith. Decision Analyst, Arlington, hired Elisa Sylvester as account executive. Alan Weinkrantz and Co., San Antonio, added Cecil Newberry as senior account executive. ARKANSAS Paula Cigainero and LeJan Scott have joined Thoma Thoma Creative, Little Rock. Cigainero, a designer, was at Little Rock's Combs & Co., while Scott brings more than seven years experience into her role as production manager. LOUISIANA Logan Marketing, New Orleans, hired former freelance planner/buyer Lauren Oelsner Greenberg as media director. Greenberg has 13 years of experience. NEW MEXICO Vaughn/Wedeen Creative, Albuquerque, hired associate creative director Foster Hurley, who has worked at agencies including Tracy-Locke (now TLPartnership) and The Richards Group, both in Dallas, GSD&M of Austin and Bozell Worldwide, Los Angeles. Also new at the consultancy is print/purchasing coordinator Suzi Kouri, formerly creative manager for Fulcrum Direct. Joining Rick Johnson & Co., Albuquerque, are public relations account executive David Hachigian, account executive Lucy M. Tillotson and traffic coordinator and print production assistant Beverly Akin. OKLAHOMA The Tulsa Advertising Federation selected its 1997-98 board of directors. The officers are: president, Pat Stanfield of Seiscor Technologies; first vice president, Roxanne Jolley of Roxanne Jolley Advertising; second vice president, Cynthia Staab of Thrifty Car Rental; treasurer, Dave Eakin of The PRES Group; and secretary, Marcia Burnett, Seiscor Technologies.
