Alan Wang assumed the post of director of account services at Kang & Lee Advertising, New York.





MTV Networks, a unit of Viacom Inc. in New York, named Abby Terkuhle president of MTV Animation and Gene Quinn senior vice president of on-line and interactive services.





Brad Rye and Karen Sims arrived at the Rochester office of Eric Mower and Associates as senior account executives, public relations services. EMA, Buffalo, promoted Susan Thomas to account supervisor, Laurie Wolfe to senior broadcast producer and Jean Landy to public relations account coordinator. Richard Harris and John Gurtler were named management supervisor and account supervisor, respectively, at EMA in Buffalo.





In New York, Bates Direct designated George Fencl senior vice president and account director on the T. Rowe Price business. Before moving to Bates, Fencl was senior vice president of strategic development at Barry Blau & Partners in Fairfield, Conn.





Walter Rath was appointed director of public relations at The Paige/Smith Group in Syracuse.
