NEW YORK J. Walter Thompson, New York, promoted John Haskin and James Vincent to senior partners and management directors. Both executives were previously senior partners and senior account directors. Penny Hawkey was named executive vice president and executive creative director of Medicus New York, a division of Medicus Group International, the worldwide healthcare communications unit of The MacManus Group. Hawkey was formerly vice president and executive creative director at Publicis/Bloom. Ammirati Puris Lintas, New York, elevated Nancy McNally to multinational client director, responsible for its global Burger King account. McNally, who was executive vice president and managing director of client service on the Burger King business, also became a member of the agency's worldwide operating board. Additionally, APL named Jeffrey Wilks, Rob Quish and Matt Heller executive vice presidents and managing directors of client services. Previously, the three executives were senior vice presidents and group directors. Lawrence Lesser, who in 1972 helped found Medicus Group International, the healthcare communications division of The MacManus Group, will retire from MacManus on Oct. 31 to form Healthcare Communications Insights, a consultancy in Northport. Most recently, Lesser served as executive vice president of DMB&B Communications. Euro RSCG Worldwide, New York, designated Teri Everett global communications director. Previously, Everett was director of media relations at ABC News. Jennifer Sokol, former interactive media manager at Media.Com, joined Darwin Digital, a unit of Saatchi & Saatchi in New York, as director of media, a new position. United Stations Radio Networks, New York, hired Stephanie Wilson as account executive and Ann Marie Constantinides as traffic coordinator. Nancee Martin, corporate human re-sources manager at True North Com-munications, moved to Foote, Cone & Belding Worldwide as director of personnel. Martin will work at both FCB's New York and Chicago offices. Vyvx Advertising Distribution Ser-vices, New York, installed John Lipuma as Eastern regional sales manager. Heidi Smith arrived at Sage Marketing Communications, Syracuse, as associate art director. Capital Publishing, New York, named Fred Nelson, who was vice president of corporate sales for The American Benefactor, Civilization and Worth, president of Civilization magazine. Allan Beaver, Sheila Metzner, B. Martin Pedersen and George Tscherny were elected the four 1997 laureates of the Art Directors Club's Hall of Fame, New York. CONNECTICUT BEN Marketing Group, Stamford, added three creative staffers: senior art director Ken Flood, copywriter and concept developer Adam Kaplan and associate art director Steven Arengo. Christian Fox and Marisa Soderlund joined Marketing Corp. of America, Westport, as senior art director and art director, respectively. NEW JERSEY Einson Freeman, Paramus, assigned Judy Berkowitz as management supervisor in its MGA Partnership Marketing division. PENNSYLVANIA Tierney & Partners, Philadelphia, advanced vice president and associate media director Molly Kuehn Watson to senior vice president and director of media services. Before joining T&P in 1995, Watson worked at Young & Rubicam in New York. Maria Rodale was appointed vice chairman of the board and director of strategy, a new corporate position at Rodale Press in Emmaus.
