NEW YORKMC2 appointed Alyson Henning executive vice president, business development. She is based in the agency's Chestnut Ridge office. Henning most recently founded Greenwich, Conn.-based Henning & Partners, an advisory practice with a focus on growing organizations. Before that, she spent 16 years at Ammirati Puris Lintas (now known as Lowe, an Interpublic Group agency) and its predecessor agency, Ammirati & Puris in New York. At APL, she served as global chief business development officer. Prior to that, Henning was director, new business at Ammirati & Puris. MC2 is based in St. Louis.Kang & Lee Advertising made the following promotions. Larry Moskowitz rose to vice president of strategic services/ new business; he previously was director of strategic services. Valentin Polyakov and Julia Chen were both named media supervisors; Polyakov and Chen both formerly served as senior media planners. Daphne Huang was elevated to account executive; she most recently was an assistant account executive. Kang & Lee is based in New York.Conill Advertising hired twelve new staffers at its New York and Los Angeles offices. Pablo Buffagni was named creative director in Los Angeles; he will direct all creative activity for the agency's Toyota and Lexus accounts. He previously was creative director at Montemayor y Aso ciados in San Antonio. Tom Lanktree was appointed strategic planning director in New York; he formerly was group director of client services at Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi's headquarters in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Arturo Jara joined as associate creative director in New York; he most recently was a copywriter in Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi's Mexico City office. Karen Uribe was hired as an account supervisor in New York; she will manage the Pampers and Tylenol accounts for clients Procter & Gamble and Johnson & Johnson. Uribe previously served as senior account executive at Bozell/Siboney USA. Joe Baide was named an account supervisor in New York; he will manage the Head and Shoulders, Sunny Delight, Olay and Old Spice accounts for client Procter & Gamble. He most recently was an account supervisor at Mezzina Brown & Partners in New York. Don Lupo was named interactive manager in Los Angeles; he formerly was a freelance Internet technology specialist at Conill. The shop added six additional members to its creative and client service teams: two in New York and four in Los Angeles. The 12 staff additions are part of the operational restructuring of the agency, which began in May 2002 under Nazca Saatchi & Saat chi, the Latin American advertising network of Saatchi & Saatchi. The agency is based in Miami.Register.com named Norman Silverberg director of advertising and sales. He most recently served as a senior sales executive at 24/7 Real Media. Register.com is based in New York.Mark Manoff was appointed senior vice president for sales and marketing at West Glen Communications. He most recently worked as an executive vice president at Medialink Worldwide. West Glen is based in New York; the company also has offices in Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Washington.Syracuse-based MRA appointed John Leibrick an account management supervisor for the account services department. He will oversee strategic planning and supervise account-team activity for the Welch Allyn, Schering-Plough Animal Health, SBU, HHP and Syracuse Uni versity School of Management accounts. Leibrick most recently was an account supervisor at Publicis in Dallas.Christina Armbrust joined Media Logic in Albany as a senior graphic artist. She formerly worked for twelve years as a master digital imaging technician at Quad/ Graphics in Saratoga Springs.David Lapham was named associate marketing director at Worth magazine. He most recently was manager of sales development and event marketing for Newsweek magazine. Worth is based in New York.Direct and interactive agency True North Inc. made two appointments in its New York office. Zoe Gardner was hired as director of sales, compiled data; she formerly was sales director for the Compiled Data division of Mal Dunn Associates. John Como was appointed an account supervisor, responsible for the strategic direction and overall client service of the Buena Vista Home Entertainment online account; he previously worked as client strategist at Avenue A/NYC. True North Inc. is based in New York.Three staffers were promoted at Tennis magazine. Michele Folman rose to Eastern manager; she previously served as an account exec utive. Randy Lauwasser was elevated to travel manager; he formerly was marketplace manager. Barbara Brown was promoted to marketplace man ager; she most recently worked as sales coordinator. Tennis, which is based in New York, is owned by New York-based Miller Sports Group.Lighthouse International appointed Lynne Gregory vice president of corporate partnerships. She will lead New York-based Lighthouse's new fund-development operation, which will seek to establish partnerships with the business and corporate sectors through sponsorships, cause-related marketing activities, and corporate business underwriting for special events. Greg ory most recently served as president of Greg ory Communications in New York.Rick Gray joined the Chicago office of Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide as senior vice president in the agency's corporate practice. He previously was vice president of marketing and com munications for Lante Corp. Ogilvy PR, which is based in New York, is part of WPP Group.Magnet Communications promoted Paul Jensen to president. He will report to David Kratz, CEO of Magnet, who formerly held the title of president in addition to CEO. Jensen previ ously was an executive vice president at Magnet, serving as head of the national technology practice; in his new capacity, he will remain head of the national technology practice. Magnet, which is owned by Havas, is based in New York; Magnet also has offices in Los Angeles, Chi cago, San Fran cisco, Bos ton, Pittsburgh, Cor ona, Calif., and Baltimore (through its affiliate, War schawski Public Relations). NEW JERSEYKurt Algayer joined Eatontown, New Jersey-based Lanmark Group as director of pro duction and traffic. He formerly spent seven years at Borland Software Corp. in Scotts Valley, Calif., most recently as creative services manager. In addition, Lisa Doud was hired as a senior account executive at Lanmark. She pre viously was an account executive at PRMC Advertising in Morristown. Both Algayer and Doud are based in Lanmark's Eatontown office; the agency also has an office in Chicago. PENNSYLVANIAKelly Michener in Lancaster hired Kevin Teevens as executive vice president, executive creative director. He most recently was creative director of Stoner Bunting Advertising in Lancaster. In addition, Kelly Michener named Jack Crifasi senior vice president, creative director. He previously served as associate creative director at Stoner Bunting.Roska Direct in Montgomeryville appointed Ed Rooney an account director. He will lead several key healthcare accounts at the agency. Rooney most recently served as vice president/account director at Gillespie in Princeton, N.J., where he worked on Metris and Westinghouse Ceiling Fans.
