NEW YORKBruce Winterton joined WPP Group's Ogilvy & Mather in New York as executive group director. He will be respon sible for overseeing the Motorola account in North America. Winterton, who previously was group business director and head of account management at Bartle Bogle Hegarty, spent three years at BBH; there, he was responsible for managing two of its largest accounts, Unilever's Lipton and Johnnie Walker, among other duties.Jonathan Daly was named to the new post of senior partner, global planning di rector on Pfizer/Warner-Lambert at J. Walter Thompson in New York. Daly formerly was director of account planning at Foote, Cone & Belding in New York, where he helped garner new business, including Compaq, Dole and Samsung. He will report to David Lamb, worldwide director of account planning, and will be responsible for overseeing strategic direction on Pfizer/Warner-Lambert brands such as Lis terine, Lubriderm, Trident and e.p.t.Lisa Abbatiello has taken on an expanded leadership role as head of account management for masius in New York, in addition to her existing title of senior vice president, management supervisor. Masius, which also has an office in London, is a specialist corporate, technology and business agency within the D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles network, and is owned by Bcom3.Ventura Associates hired Boni Liss-Wolf as senior promotions director. She is based in Philadelphia. Liss-Wolf most recently served as director of promotions for RealTime Media. New York-based Ventura is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mickelberry Communications.Ray Reed was named Northeast regional manager for Coastal Living magazine in New York. He formerly worked in Chicago as Midwest regional manager for Southern Living magazine. Southern Progress Corp. publishes Coastal Living and Southern Living, among other magazines.Joan Blanski was appointed vice president, marketing, Lifetime Entertainment Services. She previously was president of her own consulting company, Bronxville-based JMB Marketing Consulting. Lifetime Entertainment Services, which is based in New York and includes the services Lifetime Television, Lifetime Movie Network, Lifetime Real Women and Lifetime Online, is a 50-50 joint venture of The Hearst Corp. and The Walt Disney Co.Platinum Design promoted two staffers. Mike Joyce rose to creative director; he has been with the company for more than six years and previously served as art director. Estée Pouleris was elevated to vice president; she most re cently was account manager. Platinum Design is based in New York. NEW JERSEYSSD&W in Montville pro moted Frank Giarratano to chief operating officer, partner and changed its name to SG&W (Scelba, Giarratano & Wolfson) to reflect the company's current ownership. Giarratano most recently was executive vice president, partner at the shop.S3 hired Veronique Bella as a graphic designer. She is based in the agency's Boonton office. Bella joins S3 from Ritta & Associates in Englewood, where she worked as a graphic designer. S3 also has an office in Irvine, Calif. PENNSYLVANIAThe Hal Lewis Group named Maureen Man giavas strategic planning director. Prior to joining the Philadelphia-based agency, she served as brand director for Bristol-Myers Squibb Medical Imaging.
