NORTH CAROLINA

The Bloom Agency in Winston-Salem has recruited Bonnie Morrison as account manager and David Knesel as manager of public relations.

Coyne Beahm has promoted assistant controller Erin Hartman to controller, assistant art director Phillip Yeary to art director, traffic manager Becky Goodling to senior traffic manager and Parrish Gust to associate director of consumer relationship marketing. The Greensboro agency has also hired Janice Mendek as information systems manager and Kathleen Edwards as proofreader, both from Mullen/LHC.

Sterrett Dymond Stewart Advertising in Charlotte has enlisted Kim Thornton as account executive. Thornton will be responsible for strategic marketing planning and account services for Murray Calloway County Hospital in Murray, Ky., and Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.

Ashley Futrell has joined King's English as public relations account executive. Audrey Sheldon has arrived at the Greensboro shop as account executive and traffic manager.

Incite Communications in Charlotte has appointed Lee Thomas account executive. Karina Agee has moved to the company as production manager from Leslie Advertising in Greenville.

West & Vaughan in Durham has hired three new creative team members. David Williams joins as senior copywriter from The Richards Group in Dallas, where he worked on the Nokia and 7-Eleven accounts. Chris Gupton arrives as art director from McKinney & Silver in Raleigh, where he contributed to the Amaretto DiSaronno, Audi and Sunkist accounts. Lindsay Karchner, production manager and designer, was previously with InTandem in Greenville, where she worked on the Polaroid, Hamilton Beach and Goerlich's beer accounts.

Capital Strategies has enlarged its public affairs division by adding Doug Miskew as account director and Christopher Shigas as media relations coordinator. Michael Driscoll has become director of Web services at the Raleigh shop.

Bouvier Kelly has designated Mark Brown associate creative director. Brown returns to Greensboro after a stint at Cook Marketing in Jacksonville, Fla., where he worked on the Atlanta Falcons and Winn-Dixie accounts.

Ginger Walle has been named associate director of the interactive services division at Wray Ward Laseter in Charlotte.

SOUTH CAROLINA

Wally Shepherd has advanced to account manager at Promotions Plus in Greenville.

Erwin-Penland has added six new employees to its Greenville operation. The agency has recruited Melissa Godwin as associate production manager from Copac Inc., Michelle Pace as media supervisor from Impressions Media Services and Barry Finkelstein as director of public relations from The MRA Group, where he served the Atlanta company as vice president and director of public relations. Heather Grose, Kimberly Langston and Nathan Osborne have been assigned to the Verizon wireless account as studio artists.

Dennis Craighead has opened Dennis Craighead Design in Columbia.

Infinity Marketing in Greenville has established a production department. New personnel joining the operation are: Randi Morris, creative director; Shawn Garrett, graphic artist; Karen Kaufman, process manager; and Brett Carrig, production assistant. The media department has been expanded with the addition of Jonathan Teague as director and Karen Brown as buyer.

TENNESSEE

Stephen Carr has been named vice president of advertising at Dye, Van Mol & Lawrence in Nashville.

The Buntin Group has selected Jessica Hart vice president of strategic planning and marketing. Hart will oversee strategic outdoor media planning and business development for the Nashville-based agency's out-of-home division at its Atlanta office.

Bohan Carden & Cherry in Nashville has installed Lacey Argo as assistant account executive and Amy Liz Riddick as copywriter.

Fred Hamel has joined the staff of Gish, Sherwood & Friends in Nashville as traffic manager.

VIRGINIA

Fareed & Company in Norfolk has welcomed Cheryl Wagner as art director and Dotti Callahan as production and traffic manager. Steven Herron, executive vice president of client development at Fareed, has been elected governor of the American Advertising Federation's Third District for 2002-03.

Sherri Green was recently promoted to the position of account supervisor at Laughlin, Marinaccio & Owens Advertising in Arlington.

Davis & Company in Virginia Beach has employed Robin MacPherson as senior art director, Southard Davis as account executive, Michelle Larkin as traffic manager and creative assistant, and Mindy Judah as accounting assistant.
