Prior to joining Keiler & Company, Strobel was a freelance designer for Integrated Marketing Group in Salt Lake City. MASSACHUSETTSBarrett Communications, Cambridge, hired Debra Darby to its new-business development team. A 15-year veteran of the New England business development world, Darby has worked with regional and national clients such as Fidelity, State Street Corporation, Staples, IBM, Microsoft and Wal-Mart.Cambridge-based Philip Johnson Associates, an advertising and marketing company, has made some recent new hires. Laura-Anne Catlin joined as art director and Diane Chutkowski joined as a copywriter. Matt Thorsen was hired as production director. Thorsen will be responsible for the traffic, production and studio operations of the agency. Tim Stoner was named general manager of Ultra, a PJA new media company. Stoner will be responsible for all of Ultra's creative and client activity.Greenburg Seronick O'Leary & Partners, Boston, promoted Marjorie Crandell to vice president of integrated marketing from vice president/account director. Haynes brings with him 12 years of experience developing and managing strategic public relations programs. Burst! Media, Burlington, appointed Bill Gallagher director of ad sales operations. In this newly created position, Gallagher will be responsible for supervising inside salespeople with targeted account development, managing training issues and ensuring that the company takes a coordinated sales approach. Most recently, Gallagher was a senior account manager and one of the top salespeople for Engage, a majority-owned operating company of CMGI.Chad Leitz was named senior copywriter at Harpell, Maynard.
