William Seccombe was named vice president of Praco's Denver office. He formerly was vice president of marketing for the Denver Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau. Worldprints.com, Boulder, appointed Christopher M. Lynde vice president of sales and marketing. Sterling-Rice Group, a brand development and integrated marketing company, named Tracey Miller account director. Miller will provide the Boulder agency's clients with strategic solutions for issues related to brand equity analysis, brand positioning, new-product development, market segmentation studies and overall marketing strategy development. - NEVADA Las Vegas-based Benchmark Productions named Thomas Mikovits vice president of production. He most recently produced more than a dozen TV spots as advertising coordinator for Coast Casinos. - NORTHERN CALIFORNIA Miller/Huber Relationship Marketing promoted Bradley Hazelrigg to vice president/account director from management supervisor. He will lead the San Francisco agency's relationship marketing efforts for Cisco Systems, British Airways and micronpc.com. Poster artist David Lance joined San Francisco-based Planetpoint, a fine art and commercial art buyer. - SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA Joe Cartwright was named vice president, general sales manager, at Adlink in Los Angeles. RiechesBaird, Irvine, added Julia Ludwig as an account representative. She previously worked at Alcone Marketing Group. The agency also added Robert Lorum as director of Internet marketing. He was previously Web project director and director of marketing and advertising for Firstsource.com, Santa Ana. Adrian Butash joined Nexxus, Santa Barbara, as vice president of marketing. He will spearhead the hair care company's marketing and creative efforts. Joe Jenkins was appointed vice president of human resources for BDS Marketing, Irvine. He comes from Snelling & Snelling, a national staffing firm. Copithorne & Bellows, Irvine, hired Scott Robertson as a director. He succeeds Alejandro Hernandez, who moves into a new role, focusing on C&B's Latin American presence. Marshall Advertising & Design has added two new staff members to the Yamaha Motor Corp. account. Mark Wagner was named media supervisor. He joins the Newport Beach agency from DDB Dallas, where he served as senior media planner. John Lee was hired as assistant media planner from Market Place Media. Wendy Gribb was named associate media director at Lawrence, Mayo & Ponder, Newport Beach. She previously served as director of research and analysis at The Princeton Review in New York. Hispanic station KMEX-TV (Ch. 34) in Los Angeles hired former Fox Sport West national sales manager Jack Randall as its new national sales manager for the West Coast region. Universal Studios Recreation Group, Universal City, named Steven Shaiken senior vice president, merchandising. Previously, he served as senior vice president, retail and leasing, for Starwood Hotels and Resorts. Additionally, the company appointed Larry Kurzweil president and chief operating officer of the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park. Kurzweil has served as senior vice president and general manager of Universal CityWalk since 1997. Cindi Peltier joined Destination Films as director of national marketing. She will be based in Santa Monica. Most recently, Peltier served as manager of marketing and promotions at FX Networks. Gun for Hire, Santa Monica, appointed Molly Montgomery director of sales and marketing. She will work with ad agencies to identify projects for newly signed directors Debbie Allen and Tony Dow. Greg Gulick joined ThinkTank Advertising as a graphic designer. He will work on the graphic design elements of print and Internet projects at the San Diego agency. DVD Express, a video retailer, named Victoria Piper vice president and chief information officer. Prior to joining the Los Angeles-based company, she was market development and information systems director of U.S. Sales Corp. Lages & Associates, a high-tech public relations and marketing communications firm in Irvine, appointed Elsy Liu account coordinator. Patricia La Vigne was promoted to senior vice president, on-air promotions, at Fox Family Worldwide, Los Angeles. Kovel/Fuller, Los Angeles, added Eric Harnett as head of production. He most recently worked with Rubin Postaer and Associates in Santa Monica. Di Zinno-Thompson Integrated Marketing Solutions, San Diego, promoted director of client services Tammy Haughey to general manager. Big Bang Idea Engineering recently added two senior staff members in San Diego. Nigel Benjamin joins as media director, and Jill Ruff joins as account supervisor. Go2 Systems, maker of a global addressing and locator system designed for use on the Internet and in portable devices, added brothers Robert and William Groux to its sales and marketing department. Robert Groux will serve as vice president of sales and marketing; William Groux is the new director of sales, national accounts. Weider Publications, Woodland Hills, promoted Robert L. Washburn Jr. to executive vice president, group publishing director. D Zone Studio hired Doug Barnfather as an account executive. Barnfather brings an industrial design background and experience in the automotive industry to the San Pedro-based strategic design and marketing company. Jim Matthews, chairman and CEO of Matthews/Mark, San Diego, was named president of the board of directors of the United Cerebral Palsy Association of San Diego County.
