Mintz & Hoke has promoted senior art director Su Strawderman to vice president. She recently won Best of Show at the Connecticut Art Directors Club awards for her work on the Avon agency's breast cancer ad for the Connecticut Department of Public Health.
Keiler & Co. has advanced Mandy Rohde to senior copywriter from copywriter. Rohde began her career at the Farmington shop after graduating from Emerson College in Boston. In addition, Keiler has hired University of Hartford graduate Tara Healy as an account coordinator in the public relations group. She will assist the AlliedSignal account team.
Catalyst Marketing Communications in Stamford has appointed William Moldashel account executive. Before joining Catalyst, Moldashel was owner and manager of three Holbrook, N.Y.-based companies: Lakeland Communications, Long Island Paging and Long Island SMR Group.
Bronnercom has announced the promotions of several key staffers in its BSH and Sansome direct marketing units and Strategic Interactive Group. BSH, New York, has upped Steve Olderman to executive vice president and creative director and Dani Nadel to senior vice president of marketing. Bob Hurley has been advanced to executive vice president of marketing at BSH's Boston headquarters. Michael Jacobs has been promoted to senior vice president and creative director for Sansome in San Francisco. At SIG, five new executive vice presidents have been named: Chuck DeSnyder, Bob Maher, Greg Johnson and founding partners Rob Cosinuke and Ruben Pinchanski.
The Weber Group has promoted Scott Bauman to vice president from account director. Bauman played a strategic role in getting the Cambridge-based technology public relations agency's Ernst & Young account off the ground. He also manages a number of clients in Weber's emerging business practice, including WebHire. Prior to joining Weber, Bauman was a senior associate with Barton Gingold Eaton & Anderson in Portland, Maine.
James Issokson has joined Sterling Hager as director of account services. Before joining the Watertown-based technology public relations firm, Issokson spent eight years at Edelman Public Relations Worldwide, most recently as vice president in the corporate and international affairs division of the Washington, D.C., office.
Seidler Bernstein, a marketing and communications agency in Cambridge specializing in the medical and healthcare fields, has appointed Donna Mates accounting manager. Mates previously spent 16 years at Bolt, Beranek & Newman and then freelanced for S&H Precision Manufacturing Co. in Newmarket, N.H., among others.
Multivision has formed a new department led by Frank Verni to focus on Internet/intranet and multimedia development. Verni is a print and video designer who has written several typographic software programs for Agfa-Geveart. Jim Gordon also has joined the Cambridge company as creative director. He was previously senior creative director at Editel in Boston. Daniela Skrein-Bell has been hired as multimedia and graphic designer after stints at Planet Interactive and Carbiner International.
Hatmaker has promoted Haig Bedrossian to design director. The Watertown broadcast design studio's clients include Oxygen, Cosmopolitan Television, MTV Networks, Columbia TriStar International and Warner Bros. International.
Avid editor Christo Tsiaras has left National Boston to join Computer Pictures. At National Boston, he won awards for his TV commercials, corporate and music videos, documentaries and photography, working with clients such as Tommy Hilfiger, McDonald's and Converse. In addition, Computer Pictures is expanding to make room for new equipment and staff. The company has opened an office in downtown Boston at 181 South St.
PixelDance Communications, an interactive marketing firm in Watertown, has made several additions to its staff. John Puopolo, formerly the principal of the financial software consulting firm The Reference, has stepped into the role of chief financial officer. Katherine Harris and Stephan Pagaciak have joined the client services team as project manager and account manager, respectively. Harris previously worked at Interlynx Technology, and Pagaciak was the business development manager for Eclipse Information Systems. PixelDance also has hired three developers: Hope Dela Vega, Edward Ramos and Scott Sonia.
Communications Arts Group has named Kelly Kolenda to the newly created position of project manager. Kolenda recently received her MBA from the University of Rhode Island. While there, she served as marketing director for the university's athletic department.
RDW Group has hired Eric Meier as design director of its new interactive unit, which includes new hires Paul Treanor, Paula Reynolds and Amy Weston. Meier formerly worked as a design director for the Internet Commerce Group of Fidelity Investments. Treanor, previously a virtual reality developer at Runandgun in Chicago, will specialize in 3-D animation and high-end multimedia presentations. Reynolds, formerly a production coordinator for the Providence Journal's Web site, Projo.com, will work on Web site development. Weston, a former Projo.com programmer, will focus on Web technologies and database solutions.
