TEXAS The Churchill Group, Houston, appointed client service manager John Sousa vice president. Sousa also becomes a principal and a member of the agency's management operations committee. The shop also enlisted Greg Rosenstein as account supervisor. Rosenstein previously was corporate development manager at American Oilfield Divers, Houston. Maureen Steffes was hired as art director at TFA Communications, Dallas. Previously, Steffes held the same post at Nordensson Lynn Advertising in Tucson, Ariz. Moroch & Associates recently made a number of personnel moves in both its Houston and Dallas locations. In Dallas, media supervisor Martin Bush and research and sales analyst Elizabeth Tipton were hired, James Stewart progressed to senior account executive, and Bruce McElroy and Lana Wickliffe moved up to account executives. At the Houston office, Moroch promoted Holly Taylor and Teri Keiser to account executives. Raul Ramos and Cassie Murphree joined The Balcom Agency, Fort Worth. Ramos, an art director and illustrator, was previously graphic designer at Regian & Wilson Advertising and Public Relations, also Fort Worth. Murphree, also art director, held a similar post at Eisenberg and Associates, Dallas. USAA, San Antonio, installed Phyllis Petersen Stahle as senior vice president of marketing. Stahle came to USAA from Wachovia Bank in Winston-Salem, N.C., where she was senior vice president and manager of consumer product development. Video Post & Transfer in Dallas appointed Lawrence Garza graphics and effects artist. Garza was previously art director at KHOU-Channel 11 in Houston. Angela Afflack moved up to director of frequency and database marketing at Dallas-based Friday's Hospitality Worldwide. Afflack joined the company in February as advertising manager. Her new responsibilities will include developing strategic partnerships. Catherine Cooper joined the staff of The Tate Agency in Houston as assistant account executive. Cooper is a graduate of Baylor University in Waco. Goswick Advertising in Houston signed Laura Moore as vice president of business development. Moore arrived from Adcetera Design Studio, also located in Houston. John Shore was tapped as vice president of Julia Sweeney & Associates, Dallas. Shore previously held a senior account executive post at the agency. Michelle L†hrs attained principal status at Sanders, Wingo, Galvin & Morton in El Paso. L†hrs joined the agency nine years ago as an account executive. Dallas-based music video and commercial production house Film Xero hired director Matt Richardson. AMFM Radio Networks, a Dallas subsidiary of Chancellor Media Corp., appointed Shari Levine vice president of sales planning. Levine was recently serving as national broadcast supervisor at GSD&M in Austin, working on the Mastercard, Pennzoil and Chili's accounts. Jim Simon was named vice president of AOL rewards marketing at Digital Marketing Services, a Dallas company providing marketing services and market research via America Online. Simon moves over from his post as commerce services manager for interactive marketing at AOL. Elamex, El Paso, hired Susan Mucha as vice president of sales and marketing. Prior to her appointment, Mucha was director of strategic planning at Sparton Electronics. Bates Southwest, Houston, added one staff member to its GTE Wireless team and promoted another. Joining the agency as account supervisor is Brenda Christmon, formerly of Moroch & Associates. Moving up to account coordinator for the shop's GTE Wireless business in Texas and the Midwest is Cecilia Tamez. Tave Campbell, founder of Campbell Marketing Communications, Dallas, formed BaBoom Productions, a content development company concentrating on the children's market. Baboom currently has three videos in test markets that are scheduled for distribution next month. ARKANSAS Martin & Martin in Little Rock recently hired three creative staff members: art director Rachel Koops and production artists Johnathan Spencer and Dusty Townsend. LOUISIANA Jason Harsany recently joined Calzone & Associates, Lafayette, as copywriter. Harsany was a freelance writer with Mobile, Ala., agencies Sullivan-St. Claire Advertising/Public Relations and Towns-end, Barney & Patrick Advertising. OKLAHOMA Jimmy Diffee moved to Littlefield Marketing and Advertising, Tulsa, as production artist. Prior to joining Littlefield, Diffee was an in-house graphic designer at Favell Services, also Tulsa.
