COLORADO Strategic Medical Communications, a national healthcare communications firm, appointed Scott R. Sanders senior vice president of account services. In this role, Sanders is responsible for business development and account management. He brings more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience. Before joining the Denver-based company, he held various positions at Pfizer Medical Technologies Group, including manager of corporate sales and director of marketing. NORTHERN CALIFORNIA Leagas Delaney has made a few appointments and promotions to its staff. Alison Fowler was promoted to media director. She joined the San Francisco agency in 1997 and had been group media director. She replaces Rob Kabus, who assumes the new position of director of strategic planning. Separately, the shop hired Ken Kula as chief operating officer. Kula previously had been with Left Field in San Francisco. Greg Montana joined the agency in the newly created position of director of business development. Most recently, Montana was director of corporate sales at Cond Nast Publications in San Francisco. Kieran Clarke was named general sales manager at KTXL-TV Fox 40 in Sacramento. He joined from fellow Tribune station KTLA-TV in Los Angeles, where he served as local sales manager. SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA Barbara Drummond was promoted to senior vice president of The Roxburgh Agency, an agency specializing in the real estate and building industries. Drummond has directed the Costa Mesa shop's creative services and graphic design department for the past five years. Claudio Ludovisi was named vice president of Latin American licensing for Warner Bros. Consumer Products, Burbank. Ludovisi will oversee the development of Warner Bros. Consumer Products business throughout Latin America. His responsibilities include development of a strategic sales and marketing plan for products, third party tie-ins, publishing, music and interactive categories, as well as defining new market entry strategies. Simone Beaudoin was named associate creative director at Lawrence, Mayo & Ponder, Newport Beach. She will lead creative on social marketing and healthcare clients, and contribute to all other accounts. She joined the shop five years ago as an art director. Prior to that, she owned her own company, Mony, Mony Art Direction & Design. Holly Leff-Pressman was promoted to senior vice president, pay-per-view and video-on-demand, for Universal Television & Networks Group. She will continue to report to Steven Jarmus, co-head of Universal International Tele- vision, and be based at Universal Studios in Los Angeles. Her new duties include negotiating, licensing and overseeing distribution of marketing for Universal's feature films and other products through pay-per-view and video-on-demand worldwide. She continues her responsibilities for sales, negotiation and licensing of Universal-filmed entertainment to the hotel pay-per-view marketing in the U.S.
