John Grogan has joined Bozell New York as senior partner in charge. He is re-sponsible for the entire Bozell-Temerlin McClain team working on the Bank of America account. (New York-based Bo-zell and Dallas-based Temerlin McClain, both under the umbrella of True North Communications, work on the account jointly.) Grogan, who most recently was vice president, strategic business development at Windsor, Conn.-based direct-mail company ADVO, takes over from Malcolm Mace, who recently returned to Dallas to head another piece of business at Temerlin McClain.
D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles has appointed Robert Jackson to the new position of senior vice president, database marketing, D'Arcy Marketing Services Group, effective immediately. He arrives at the New York agency from DiaLogos in Boston, where he was practice leader of integrated marketing.
Griffin Bacal has hired Erika Haggist as head of its new business department. Before joining the New York shop, she was vice president of marketing at the Institute for International Research.
Phase2Media in New York has promoted Dan Lovinger to the new position of chief strategy officer, effective immediately. He had joined the organization in January of this year as vice president, advertising sales, responsible for advertising sales efforts for all branded sites in the news/finance/business category.
Media Logic in Albany has hired two new staffers. Christina Smith was named vice president/management supervisor; she was most recently vice president/managing director at Cosgrove/Juro. David Rooney was appointed management supervisor and director of public relations; he previously worked at Kaiser Permanente's Northeast division, managing public relations and communications strategy for the health plan.
BSMG Worldwide has hired Alice Diaz as a director in the firm's travel and lifestyle practice. Prior to joining BSMG, New York, she served as a vice president responsible for strategic public relations and marketing programs for Sun International-Bahamas at M. Silver Associates.
Ryan Communications in Syracuse has hired Tami Gibbons as media buyer. She had formerly held a variety of sales-department positions with Syracuse media, including Clear Channel Communications-Y94FM radio, WSEN/WFBL radio and WIXT TV.
JSM, New York, has named Cynthia Stahl senior producer/special projects manager. She was previously executive producer/head of sales at Crushing Music, New York.
Arthur Frommer's Budget Travel, a bimonthly published by Newsweek Budget Travel, a wholly owned subsidiary of Newsweek Inc. in New York, has hired six sales executives. Richard Gustafson has been appointed account executive for the Northeast advertising sales division, based in New York; he previously was a regional sales manager for the Northeast and Canada at Travel Weekly. Michelle Weil has arrived as Midwest advertising manager, based in Chicago; she was formerly Midwest account manager at P.O.V. magazine. Dan Sykora has been named account executive for the Midwest advertising sales division in Chicago; he was formerly a media planner for Starcom Worldwide. Jeff Ro-berge, in addition to being Ford account manager for Newsweek, will be Detroit advertising manager for AFBT; he previously managed advertising sales for Golf for Women and Mature Outlook magazines at Meredith Corp. Faun Kime was named Western advertising manager, based in Los Angeles; she was formerly an account executive with Magazine Services. Jeannea Spence has been named Southeast advertising manager; she had served as publisher's representative at Lagomarsino, Demp-sey & Dennis.

Princeton Partners has appointed Veronica Fielding chief marketing director and president of the interactive division. Prior to her current position at the Princeton agency, she had established the interactive company United Multi-Media in 1995, which was sold to Princeton Partners about three years ago.
Harrison Wilson & Associates in Parsippany has promoted five executives. Don Morgan, who joined in February 1998, has risen to executive vice president, managing director. Lyn Falconio, who has been with HW&A since 1993, will continue to build its managed-care business in the new post of executive vice president, managing director of customer-segment marketing. Barbara Stafford, who joined in June 1997, is now executive vice president, managing director of HW&A's Promeda unit. Stephen Mullens and Steven Gold were promoted to executive vice president, creative director posts. Both had formerly served as senior vice presidents at the company.
WPP Group's Einson Freeman has named Beth Rooney account supervisor. Prior to joining the Paramus agency, she was group account supervisor on the Pepsi Lipton Tea Partnership for TLP in Wilton, Conn., and account supervisor on the Starbucks Frappuccino business
