Tom Blessington, a 10-year veteran of Wieden + Kennedy, is returning to the shop's Portland, Ore., office after three years as managing director of Wieden + Kennedy, New York. Blessington, 37, helped open Wieden's Amsterdam, Netherlands, office in 1993. In 1997, he was tapped to help start the New York office. Blessington becomes group account director for consumer electronics e-tailer 800.com, effective late April. Wieden, Portland, won the $25-30 million account in February. The New York shop is looking for Blessington's replacement.
Earle Palmer Brown has named Lisa Cooper partner, management director in the direct marketing practice. Prior to joining the New York agency, Cooper worked at Lowe Fox Pavlika as senior vice president and management supervisor on Rite Aid, The MONY Group and MapQuest.
Merkley Newman Harty has named Mark Belton media director, one of four directors at the New York shop who manages a department of 16 staffers. He is responsible for BellSouth, BMW Motorcycles and the National Thoroughbred Racing Association, as well as nurturing media strategists and specialists in the department. Most recently, Belton was vice president, account director at Zenith Media Services in New York.
White Plains-based Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has hired Scott Williams as senior vice president of advertising and creative services, chief creative officer, a new position.
Spirit Music Group in New York has appointed Ed Razzano creative director, responsible for marketing the company catalog to ad agencies, as well as film, TV and new-media companies. Most recently, he was manager, creative services/catalog manager at Universal Music in New York.
Biography magazine has promoted two employees. Thomas McCluskey was named advertising director; he was previously the Eastern advertising director at the magazine, a unit of A&E Television Networks, New York. Joyce Villar was elevated to the new position of consumer electronics category manager; she was previously an account executive.
Leslie Kay, a creative-recruiting firm for advertising and Internet agencies in New York, has hired Tammy Skuraton as creative recruiter, specializing in placing copywriters and art directors. She was most recently creative manager at Cliff Freeman and Partners in New York.
Rod Calarco, a 30-year radio veteran, was hired by eMadison, a software developer based in New York and California, as vice president of radio. He was most recently senior vice president, programming/sales at WorldSpace Corp. in Washington, D.C.
MRA in Syracuse has promoted three staffers. Joe Della Posta was named senior account executive in the public relations department. He was previously an account executive in the account-services department. Jill Lyon was named account executive in the public relations department; she was formerly an assistant account executive in that department. Brent Trimble has joined the interactive department as account supervisor; he was most recently an account supervisor in the account- services department.
American Friends of Hebrew University has named Lori Cohen as vice president for marketing and communications, responsible for the overall strategic direction of the marketing effort for the New York organization. She will also develop advertising and promotional plans, among other duties. Cohen was formerly account director at Culver Associates in New York.

The Star Group, Cherry Hill, has hired two new employees. Suzanne Slominski was named media supervisor; she was previously media supervisor at Arnold Communications, Wayne, Pa. Brent Weigelt was named a design technician; he was formerly a designer at Choice Marketing, Aston, Pa.
Princeton Partners in Princeton has hired two new staffers. Dan Regan was named marketing director; he was most recently director of marketing at AAC Engineered Systems. Heather Robb has arrived at the shop as traffic coordinator; she formerly worked at Lezzer Lumber.
Turchette Advertising Agency has promoted Rhona Siciliano to senior media buyer. She was most recently a media buyer at the Fairfield-based agency.
Signature Communications has named Tony Rosowski vice president, associate creative director. He had worked at Signature in Philadelphia for 11 years before leaving for Praxis Communications in Huntingdon Valley, Pa., last year, where he had served as senior art director.
Roska Direct has hired two new staffers. Kristine Brittingham was appointed an assistant account executive. Before arriving at the Montgomeryville agency, she was marketing manager at Physicians Imaging Center in Bethlehem, Pa. Lisa Foster was named an account executive; she was most recently a senior account executive at Arnold Communications.
