NEW YORK Bozell Worldwide, New York, elevated seven staffers to partner: Shelagh Brooke, who had been a strategic planner; Judi Harris, formerly a management representative; William Kemp, formerly an account supervisor on Lycos; Ellen Stone, who was a management representative; Araceli Moreno, formerly business manager, broadcast production; Paige Soltano, who worked as director, human resources in New York; and Laurie Weber, formerly director, print production. Bozell also appointed Peter Neiman partner in charge of account services. The Ad Council, New York, promoted Diana Sciocchetti to vice president, director of external affairs. She joined the organization in January 1997 as a project manager, children's initiatives. Jeff Weston was named senior art director at Oasis Advertising, New York. He comes from Hill, Holliday/Altschiller, where he was an art director. Vicky Aloneftis, formerly senior account planner at Merkley Newman Harty, also joined Oasis as an account planning director. Benoit, Twomey + Partners in New York added two staffers: Danielle Berger joined the shop as creative supervisor and Jamisen Gingerelli was hired as print production manager. Philip Kaminowitz joined Sky Advertising, New York, as senior vice president, consumer and real estate advertising. He was previously at Clark & Pope. SiboneyUSA, New York, named Carla Trum Mercado executive vice president, general manager. She was most recently vice president, promotion and sales support for the Telemundo TV network. Al Paz was promoted to president, chief strategic officer at Robert A. Becker Euro RSCG. He had been executive vice president, director of client services. Sander Flaum, president and chief executive of the agency, was also named to the new post of chairman. Janet Cortazzi joined Rainbow Media, New York, as office manager. She was formerly an administrative manager at Cornell University Medical College. Howard Coale and Martin Torres were elevated to co-creative director at Interactive8, New York. Coale had been senior designer and associate creative director at the firm; Torres was previously a senior copywriter. Sharon Schoen joined Crawford Advertising, Syracuse, as financial administrator. She had been a commercial lending officer at Merchant's Bank. Eric Mower and Associates, Syracuse, hired Melanie Kini as a senior account executive. The Zimmerman Agency, a direct marketing shop based in Brookville, promoted Nancy Hochhauser to management supervisor. She had been an account supervisor. NEW JERSEY The Star Group, Cherry Hill, named Joe Iacovella media planner. He was formerly assistant media manager at The Weightman Group. At Horizon Communications, East Hanover, Linda Paul L…gdberg was named senior medical communications specialist and Diane Greeley was promoted to account group supervisor. Timothy Moonan and Tim Moonan were named co-chairmen of the Hibbert Group, Trenton. They had served as co-presidents of the agency. PENNSYLVANIA Four employees were promoted at Dorland Sweeney Jones Health Communications, Philadelphia: John Lambdin advanced to vice president, account supervisor; Jim Moran was elevated to vice president; Leigh Murray was named senior account executive; and Adam Siers moved up to assistant account executive. MRO Advertising, Bala Cynwyd, named Edward Manwaring partner and chief operating officer. He was most recently acting president of Criterion Communications, King of Prussia. MRO also named Beth Gorny public relations director. Scott McLaughlin was promoted to executive director, production and operations at Devon Direct, Berwyn. He had been production director on the Fleet Bank account. CONNECTICUT The Senior Network, Stamford, named Norman Sherman managing director. Previously, he was an executive vice president at D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles. Brian Bennett joined Goodwick Associates, Newtown, as executive vice president. He had served as vice president, account supervisor at Bozell in New York. J. Brown/LMC Group, Stamford, promoted Debra Keating to manager, new business communications, a new position. She has been a member of the agency's business development team for more than three years. Bruce Angus joined TLP, Wilton, as strategic planner, director of client services for the agency's Pepsi Cola International business. He was managing director at Royal Sporting House, Hong Kong.
