A NEW YORK Pat Doyle, a former account executive at Lowe Lintas & Partners, joins Young & Rubicam this week in a senior new business role, sources said. Doyle will serve as an executive vice president in charge of new-business development worldwide, reporting to advertising chairman and CEO Graham Phillips, sources said. Formerly, she managed the Dell account at Lowe Lintas. She also has account and new-business experience from Ogilvy & Mather. Her former duties at Lowe Lintas will be absorbed by executive vice president and group account director Jack McCauley, who recently joined the shop, sources said. The agencies declined comment. Bates USA has taken its first step in its effort to build a single creative department across its North American network, by promoting Midwest creative chief Marcia Stone to deputy creative director, North America. Stone, who has been executive creative director at Bates USA Midwest since 1996, will report to the agency's global creative director, John Fawcett. She will remain in Indianapolis and continue to oversee the office's creative, reporting to chairman Dan Roman. The move also provides Fawcett with the opportunity to concentrate more on the work coming out of the New York office, he said. The agency has also promoted David Reyburn from senior vice president, creative director to senior vice president, executive creative director, at Bates USA Midwest, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the creative at Bates USA Midwest. Lowe McAdams Healthcare, a company of Lowe Healthcare Worldwide, New York, has promoted Susan Miller to president, heading the shop and assuming responsibility for integrating its seven business units. She was formerly shop managing director. Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners, New York, promoted Stacey Lesser from vice president and planning director to brand planning partner. Lesser has been at the agency since 1996, working on such accounts as Citibank Advantage card, Liberty Mutual and Hennessy cognac. Vogue magazine in New York has named Priya Narang executive director, marketing services. She was most recently senior vice president, media director at DeWitt Media, overseeing media planning and buying for all accounts, such as BMW, Land Rover and Sprint, as well as the creation and execution of all integrated marketing programs. Mark Russell & Associates has hired three new staffers. Martin Hores was named a media planner/buyer, with such responsibilities as planning and placing advertising media for various regional clients; before joining the Syracuse-based shop, he was director of advertising at Rentavision. Nadine Vandewalker has been appointed an interactive traffic manager; she was formerly a traffic manager at MRA's production department, and was also a traffic manager at Cox Radio and business manager at WKFM/WFBL. Heather Yates was hired as an interactive developer, responsible for interactive Web-site programming; previously, she was a designer at Accurate Printing in Miami. M/K Advertising Partners has named Ingrid H†bler account director. She arrives at the New York shop from NBC Cable Networks, where she was director, affiliate marketing and promotion, and helped launch such networks as CNBC and MSNBC. A NEW JERSEY Gillespie has hired Ken DeLeon as an art director at its general advertising division, working on such accounts as the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, YourHomeDirect.com, and TransitCenter. Prior to joining the Lawrenceville agency, he was at Bozell Worldwide in New York, where he was an art director for such accounts and projects as MassMutual and Bell Atlantic. In addition, the shop has announced that Richard Gillespie, Gillespie president, was appointed to the McCann Relationship Marketing Worldwide board of directors. MRM is a unit of McCann-Erickson WorldGroup, which is owned by The Interpublic Group of Cos. Grafica has promoted one staffer and hired one. Jim Hathaway was named director of business development; most recently, he was a marketing manager at the Chester shop. Heather Stockham has joined as an account executive; she was previously a media planner at Ogilvy & Mather in New York. A PENNSYLVANIA Pittsburgh-based Ketchum has hired Libby Andrews as vice president, labor communications. Previously, she served as senior vice president and director of affinity marketing at The Kamber Group, Washington, D.C. D4 Creative Group has appointed Richard Laverick to the new position of technologist. Prior to joining the agency in Philadelphia, he was technologist at Rittenhouse Communications in Yardley, and directed work for AT&T, Lucent Technologies and Bristol-Myers Squibb, among others
