FLORIDA Yolanda Monteza, formerly with DJS Marketing Group, has moved to BVK/Meka in Miami as an art director. Billy Davis has joined Magic Pencil Studios in Orlando as senior art director and illustrator. Davis arrives from a similar post at Chernoff/Silver & Associates. St. John & Partners Advertising and Public Relations, Jacksonville, has added Brad Talley as creative group head, Laura Brown as print producer, Margaret Goode as accounting assistant and Stacey Bullard as traffic coordinator. Kristen Bankert has progressed to assistant account executive. Husk Jennings Advertising in Jacksonville has hired copywriter Rose Slone and art director Varick Rosete. Tina Kicklighter has joined The Robin Shepard Group in Jacksonville as public relations account supervisor. Adverba Advertising in Miami has signed Paulina Hidalgo as financial services manager. Previously, Hidalgo was at Cooper HMS in Miami. The shop also named Karen Tomasino project manager. Gold & Associates in Ponte Vedra Beach has welcomed account executive Charles Gibbs, senior art director Scott Estes, accounting manager Ann Henderson and graphic designer Keith Caven. GEORGIA BBDO South in Atlanta has promoted Bob Albright to senior vice president and associate media director and Robin Stribling and Cynthia Kellert to vice presidents and buying supervisors. Susan Thrower, formerly with the Georgia Institute of Technology, has joined Gordon Bailey & Associates in Atlanta as senior account executive. Jenny Powell was employed by Kragie Newell in Atlanta as a media buyer. The Hauser Group has assigned senior art director Craig Ford to its Atlanta office and art director Leonard Zimmerman to its outpost in Savannah. WestWayne in Atlanta has added Keith Greenstein as senior art director, Bryan Jameson as broadcast producer and Laura Dobson as producer. Shelley Bertch has transferred from the agency's Tampa, Fla., office as assistant account executive. B.A. Albert, partner and creative director at Match in Atlanta, will receive the Atlanta Advertising Club's Silver Medal Award. The club also has named Bob McNeil as the recipient of this year's Young Professional Award. KENTUCKY Paula Ashley-Rogness and Lynn Blashford have advanced to senior directors of media and marketing services, respectively, at Long John Silver's in Lexington. MARYLAND Eisner & Associates in Baltimore has hired six employees: Deborah Latham as controller, Jennifer Stika as assistant media buyer and planner, Rachelle Van Soest as strategic coordinator, Sara Shepard as account coordinator, and Robin Zittle and DeVera Hall as accounting assistants. NORTH CAROLINA Mark Etheridge, formerly president and publisher of the Business Journal of Charlotte, has joined The Cotter Group in Harrisburg as president and chief operating officer. Erica Luongo was named account coordinator at Wolf Public Relations, Charlotte. TENNESSEE Memphis-based Good Advertising has hired Shelly Anderson as an account executive. Anderson comes to the shop from Walker Interactive Systems. The agency has also enlisted Carley Montgomery as an account coordinator. The Tombras Group in Knoxville has added Mickey Graves as account executive and Carrie Harper as account coordinator. There are four new employees at 615 Music in Nashville: Kyle King as sales manager, Mathew Katz as Western regional account representative, Collin Lowe as music library production coordinator and Chip Greene as sales coordinator. TEXAS Bates Southwest in Houston has promoted account executives Jane McMillan and Linda Mills to public relations account supervisors. McMillan, a Bates Southwest veteran of three years, oversees the GTE Wireless account in Texas. Mills, who joined in 1994, will handle public relations for Belmont Corp. Assistant account executive David James has arrived at Richards/Gravelle, the public relations affiliate of The Richards Group in Dallas. James will work on accounts such as The Staubach Co., Terrabrook and JPI. R.J. Kolar Advertising & Marketing in Austin has named Chad Harlan an Internet art director. Harlan spent three years as a senior graphic designer at The Buckner Group in Indianapolis. The Wittmann Group in Dallas has added account manager Amy Pawlowski. Prior to joining the agency, Pawlowski was a human resources analyst at consulting group William M. Mercer. Bob Downs, founder of Heritage Press in Dallas, announced his retirement last month after more than 35 years in the business. He most recently served as chairman of Heritage, with primary responsibility for sales and sales promotion. Heritage is owned by Graphic Industries of Atlanta. VIRGINIA Gary Drake has been promoted to senior copywriter and agency producer at Kershner & Co. in Alexandria. Charlotte Evans and Rand Walton have been named to manage the new health sciences division at Carter Ryley Thomas in Richmond. The Meridian Group-Marketing Communications in Virginia Beach has added six staff members. The new employees are: production manager Diane Lingoni, production assistants Craig Fitzgerald and Shad Lajesse, accounts payable clerk Danika Gray, and office managers Patti Plecker and Jennifer Wallace.
