Mark Geller has become vice president and group media director at GSD&M, Austin. Geller, formerly director of media services at Southwestern Bell Communications, will be responsible for planning and buying for Americorps, HelloNetwork.com, Pennzoil/Quaker State and Wal-Mart.
Debbie Aten has joined Rives Carlberg, Houston, as account supervisor for Compaq. Aten previously served in the same capacity at Momentum Advertising. Jennifer Allison, formerly with Ogilvy & Mather, was named associate media director. Julie Syers, previously with Reliant Energy/HL&P, has come aboard as assistant media buyer for KFC and Rheem.
