New York Foote, Cone & Belding in New York promoted both Bill Foster and Saskia Mossel to senior vice president, group creative director. Foster is working on Clairol, Merck Pharmaceuticals, Vlasic Pickles, British Virgin Islands Tourism and Parkay Margarine, while Mossell is currently assigned to the Chase account. Foster and Mossel each had been titled senior vice president, senior creative director. Charles Menduni was named senior vice president, group media director on the United States Postal Service account at Foote, Cone & Belding in New York. He left Welch Nehlen & Groome in Garden City, where he was media director. Logan Wilmont has joined Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners as an associate partner, creative director. Most recently he was a creative director at Messner Vetere Berger McNamee Schmetterer/Euro RSCG. He also has worked at Merkley Newman Harty, New York, and Young & Rubicam in London. Smith Advertising Group in Syracuse hired Rebecca L. Barker as media buyer. She came to Smith from Cox Radio as account executive. USA Weekend in New York announced three promotions in its advertising and sales departments: Jim Hackett was promoted to national sales director from regional advertising director; Tony Smyth was elevated to director, direct response from sales manager; and Bob Cilia was tapped as category development director from sales development manager. Mad Dogs & Englishmen has named Sandi Bachom director of broadcast production in New York. Bachom had worked with the shop on a freelance basis. Mademoiselle in New York has named Sheila Aimette merchandising director. Aimette left Harper's Bazaar, where she was retail merchandising director. Wendy McHale was also hired as consumer products director. She was a consultant to Glamour magazine. Alexis Demetroulakos joined Mademoiselle as beauty/footwear manager. She left her position as account manager at New York. Condƒ Nast House & Garden in New York reported two moves. Sylvie Durlach was hired as European representative. She is the founder and president of S&R Media. Karen Alfirevic also joins House & Garden as Midwest advertising manager. She had been Midwest manager at Condƒ Nast Traveler. Frank Mangan has joined Hampel/Stefanides in New York as senior vice president, group account director in charge of the National Discount Brokers account. He came to the shop from Arnold Advertising in McLean, Va., where he was senior vice president, group account director on Mobil Oil. Donald Robert was named vice president, director of marketing by Katz American Television in New York. He was promoted from associate director of research and marketing. Steven DeLuca was hired as advertising director at Gourmet. Previously, he was ad manager at Details. Ruder Finn in New York has elevated Lisa Orlandini to vice president of the strategic communications group. She currently manages the AlliedSignal, AT&T and Booz Allen & Hamilton accounts. Alice Cahn has been named group president, television, film and video of the Children's Television Workshop in New York. She had been director of children's programming for the Public Broadcasting System. Scott Richman has been promoted to senior director of marketing for BMG Entertainment North America in New York. He was director of marketing for BMG Entertainment North America. James Scalem has joined Media Productions International in New York as executive vice president of broadcast programming. He left the Public Broadcasting System, where he served as project executive. New Jersey The Sawtooth Group in Woodbridge has hired Erin Blumer as account coordinator. She worked as traffic coordinator for Nationwide Computers & Electronics. John Flynn also joined the agency as account coordinator. He previously worked as account coordinator with Lechters. Jessica Gack was tapped as an account executive. She had been new business coordinator at Gillespie Advertising. Denise Spirito has been promoted to assistant art director from designer. John Lappas joined Host Communications, Rutherford, as vice president of national sales and client development. Previously, he was account executive for Madison Square Garden. GWP in Bridgewater has hired Steve Kohut as vice president, account services. He worked as senior account executive at EDS in Dallas. Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corp., Paramus, has tapped Regina Taylor as senior vice president, marketing. She will oversee the company's advertising, market research, Web site and regional marketing activities. The Harrington Group, Morristown, has tapped Germaine Manzi as an administrative assistant. Manzi had been a pre-press service representative and senior media coordinator for Hotel & Travel Index. Pennsylvania Todd Palmer has joined Miller Business Communications as associate creative director. He left Streeter & DeVitis Advertising in West Chester, where he served as interactive art director. Bob Cesna joined Cutting Edge Media Group in Philadelphia as a Web designer and Shockwave animator. Previously, he was the executive producer and Webmaster of a daily online magazine. Robin Rosemary Miller joined Yearick-Millea in Pittsburgh as account supervisor. She came to Yearick-Millea from the Girl Scouts of Southwestern Pennsylvania where she served as interim director of communications. Earle Palmer Brown in Philadelphia reported one promotion and two new hires: Pamela E. Corr was promoted to account supervisor, account services from senior account executive; Sean Carter was elevated to account executive, account service from Bates USA in New York, where he was am account executive; and Jill Schellinger joined the agency as assistant account executive, public relations. Dorland Sweeney Jones Health Communications in Philadelphia added five members to its public relations team: Staci Conover was hired as assistant account executive to oversee the Bristol-Myers Squibb account; Christine Irving was named assistant account executive to assist on Cytyc Corp.; Heather Lipson joins DSJ as senior account executive from Fleishman-Hillard in New York; Shouvik Datta joined DSJ as senior account coordinator from Earle Palmer Brown in Philadelphia; and Lanie Shapero was hired as account supervisor for BMS from Earle Palmer Brown. Harris, Baio & McCullough in Philadelphia hired two new healthcare specialists. M. Toni Buckley joined as senior vice president and director of Healthcare. She came from Dorland Sweeney Jones Health Communications where she was vice president, account group director. Mark R. Sahl was hired as vice president of Healthcare. He was a vice president at New York's Makovsky and Co. The McClure Group, a direct-response agency based in Wayne, has elevated Annie Gubeno to senior account executive from account executive.
