Margit Mason has been appointed associate media director; she most recently worked at Republic New York Corp. as vice president and advertising manager. Patricia Bonney has arrived as director of client accounting; she has previously worked at companies that include A&E Products, LP and Cablevision Corp. Steven Blumberg has been named an accounts receivable/collections manager; he formerly worked as an account manager at Sotheby's.Optimedia International (U.S.) in New York has hired Roberta Blick as associate media director. She most recently worked at Castor Advertising, an agency specializing in marketing to Hispanic communities, as media director.Pedone & Partners has hired three new staffers. John Ploetz has been named vice president, management supervisor for the World Kitchen (formerly Corning Consumer Products) account; before joining the New York agency, he worked at Deutsch in New York. Steven Kane was appointed associate media director; he most recently served at Deutsch as well. Anne Nodar was hired as a copywriter; she formerly worked at J. Walter Thompson.Media Logic has hired Julie Eagleton as an account supervisor, focusing primarily on the Visa account. Before joining the Albany-based agency, she was director of strategic services for Richard A. Peters & Associates in Rochester.MRA, based in Syracuse, has named Scott Russell president of MRA Atlanta. In this role, he will oversee the daily operations of the Atlanta office, which has 35 employees and represents clients such as The Athlete's Foot, VerticalOne and Honeywell Nylon. He previously worked as executive vice president of MRA in Syracuse and is one of the four original partners who founded MRA in 1987.The Deal, a global, integrated media company, has named Carol Parish vice president, marketing, a newly created position. In her new role, she will oversee all marketing activities for the New York company, including advertising, promotions, corporate identity and communications. Parish most recently worked at Torrance Cos., a financial-specialist public relations firm, where she served as senior vice president.Eric Mower and Associates in Syracuse has named Alvin J. Nall Jr. a senior account executive in the agency's Public Relations Services group. He previously worked with the New York Air National Guard 174th Fighter Wing in human resources.MG&G Advertising in New York has hired Peg Fitchwell-Hill as executive vice president. She most recently worked at Pedone & Partners in New York.Imagine Media, publishers of magazines and Web sites such as Business 2.0, PC Gamer and Total Movie, has appointed Jared Cantor Eastern director of sales and business development; he will be based in New York. Before joining the Brisbane, Calif.-based company, he served as a senior account executive at World Wrestling Federation Entertainment's new-media division.Mark Isik, Anne Tuomey and Brendan Ripp have joined TIME magazine's New York ad-sales team as account managers. Isik formerly was Eastern regional manager at AltaVista, Tuomey was most recently an account manager for Condé Nast Publications' Women's Sports & Fitness magazine, and Ripp previously served as an account executive for the Warner-Lambert and UDV accounts at J. Walter Thompson.The Personal Finance Group of Time Inc., which includes both money and Mutual Funds magazines, has made known that Robyn Kenyon has joined the group as public relations manager, handling all aspects of media relations for both magazines. In this role, he will be working on creative-strategy development and copywriting for agency clients that include KeraVision and Jevic Transportation. PENNSYLVANIAMarketing Works has hired Scott Bowman as director of business development. Prior to arriving at the York-based agency, he served as vice president of administration for Jack Giambalvo Motor Co.Praxis Communications in Huntingdon Valley has named Adolph Sokolski Jr. public relations manager. He will be working with the agency's clients to define their short- and long-term publicity objectives and will be developing comprehensive publicity programs to support them.
