NEW YORK

Michael Wheeler was promoted to creative director at Eric Mower and Associates' Interactive Services Group; in his new post, he is responsible for all aspects of the interactive creative process and product for agency clients across the shop's six offices. He previously served as associate creative director at the agency's Syracuse office.

Ryan Communications has promoted Todd Christopher to account executive; he is responsible for the planning, execution and evaluation of advertising and marketing initiatives on behalf of the Syracuse-based shop's 17 current HVACR (heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration) distributor accounts, among other duties. He previously served as account coordinator.

National Media Group has hired Armand Milanesi as director of sales; prior to joining the New York-based company, he served as corporate marketing manager for the New Jersey Nets. In addition, Michael Galante was appointed a sales account executive; he previously was a production assistant at MTV Radio Network.

Susan Sewell was promoted to vice president, media relations, network communications for the ABC Television Network, effective immediately. In this capacity, she oversees all aspects of communications and media relations for the business areas of the New York-based network, including sales, affiliate relations, and broadcast standards and practices, among other duties.

Targetnet in New York has hired three new executives. Stephen Wakeen was appointed president; he most re-cently worked as executive vice president and general manager of Emmerling Post. Jeffrey Howe was named chief financial officer; he previously was at Ernst & Young. Lynn Salant has joined as senior marketing manager; she formerly worked at companies such as Prodigy Internet and IBM.

Christine Baker has joined Cohn & Wolfe Corporate as new business manager. She arrives at the shop in New York from the University of New Haven in Connecticut, where she was communications manager.

MRA has promoted Heather Kowadla to account executive in the Syracuse-based shop's public relations department; in this role, she is responsible for the account management of and implementation of public relations activities for Welch Allyn, CTIA Wireless Foundation and other agency clients. In addition, MRA named Bernadette Soto account executive for its account- services department; she will also be working with the interactive and public relations departments on various projects, and is responsible for account management and implementation of advertising, new media and public relations activities for various MRA clients.

World Publications in New York has promoted Leigh Ruback to senior circulation promotion manager; she was previously circulation promotion manager. Other appoint- ments at World Publications' circulation department include that of Melissa House, who will replace Ruback as promotion manager, and Cynthia Madsen, who was named assistant promotion manager.

WebCollage in New York has named Mark Stabler vice president of marketing, effective immediately. He was formerly a senior vice president in global marketing at Computer Associates.

NEW JERSEY

The Sawtooth Group in Woodbridge has appointed Mike Draper vice president, associate creative director; he previously served as associate creative director at the agency. In addition, Sawtooth has promoted Chris Stillwagon to vice president, director of creative services; he joined the shop earlier this year as studio manager. Also, Dawn Morris was named senior art director at Sawtooth; she joined the agency earlier this year as an art director.

The Star Group in Cherry Hill has made known two new appointments at its Star/Interactive division. Steve Wil-kinson has arrived as interactive design technician; he joins the agency full time after having interned with it while he was a student. Kel Smith was promoted to interactive art director; he joined the agency in 1998 as an imaging specialist.

PENNSYLVANIA

Jennifer Serrano has joined Parachute Creative as an account executive. Prior to arriving at the Morrisville-based agency, she worked as international project coordinator for Feld Entertainment.

MARC USA in Pittsburgh has hired two new staffers and promoted two. Robert Bell was named accounts receivable coordinator; he was previously an accounting technician at the National Senior Citizen Education & Research Center in Washington, D.C. Alison Nipar was appointed corporate communications specialist; prior to joining the agency, she was a staff writer at Mt. Lebanon magazine. Lydia Caplan was elevated to senior account executive; in this role, she continues to handle True Value Hardware, as well as the Pittsburgh Zoo. Mark Lamonna was promoted to human resources manager; he joined the shop in 1999 as a human resources staffing and recruiting consultant.
