The Dallas Morning News promoted Paul Webb to vice president of production. Webb was production director of operations. Fast Cuts Edit, Dallas, added producer Gerald Jones from The Image Bank in Dallas. Bates Southwest, Houston, hired art director Eric Opella, previously at Tocquigny Advertising & Design, Austin. Opella will work on GTE Wireless, Guardian Savings and St. Luke's Episcopal. Jennifer Hudson was promoted to public relations senior account executive at Witherspoon & Associates, Fort Worth. Also, Kathryn Casey was installed as a public relations account representative at the agency. Elizabeth Horn joined Decision Analyst, Arlington, as statistical analyst, and Michael Richarme arrived as vice president of client services. The Point Group in Dallas tapped Kelly Blackford as media manager and Scott Thompson as public relations account executive. Previously, Blackford was at DDB Needham Dallas. Thomas is a recent graduate of Purdue University. Account supervisor David Crawley, account executives Michelle Ramirez and Holly Taylor, and research analyst Stephanie Litwins are new personnel at The Quest Business Agency, Houston. Telemundo station KTMD, Channel 48, Houston, hired Lois Culpepper as general sales manager. R.J. Kolar Advertising and Marketing in Austin assigned Tara Slaydon and Nicole Tam as account directors on the 3M account. The shop also added Amy Hansen as traffic manager. Hansen has worked at Tocquigny Advertising & Design and Sherry Matthews Group in Austin. Rives Carlberg, Houston, hired broadcast supervisor Therese Graham from TN Media, Los Angeles. Becky Burkett was designated Southwest manager for advertiser and agency services for New York-based Arbitron's Dallas office. T3, Austin, welcomed the following new personnel: account executive Libby DeLeon, art director Mike Kastens, production manager Brett Murry and proofreader Kathrin Beckett. Also, Michelle Keneipp moved up to assistant account executive. Taylor West Advertising, San Antonio, added senior art director Parrish Ticer from Beck & Co. Design, also located in San Antonio. Anne Smith progressed to senior account executive. Tocquigny Advertising & Design, Austin, enlisted two new staffers: account service director Letty Molina, formerly of GSD&M, and senior production artist Jamie Hargis. Hargis is a recent graduate of Rice University in Houston. TateAustin Advertising and Public Relations, Austin, advanced Philip Hudson to account director, and account coordinators Colin Rowan and Brian Dolezal to account executives. Metal Studio, Houston, employed Web developer John Childress and designer Eddy Roberts Jr. Robert Ellis is a new account executive for southern sales at AM/FM Networks, a Dallas-based division of Chancellor Media Corp. Alcatel, Plano, named Robert O'Brien vice president of communications. O'Brien most recently served as vice president of media relations at Nortel in Toronto. Suuad Sait was promoted to vice president of marketing at Ventix Systems, Austin. In Dallas, Gugel Advertising advanced Kevin Coleman to planning coordinator and Amy Keeney to broadcast assistant. PageNet, Plano, promoted Patty Ruepke to vice president of marketing communications, from director of marketing communications. Elizabeth Shuey joined Those 3 Reps, Dallas.
