James Cowden has been named assistant traffic manager at Jordan Associates Advertising/Communications in Oklahoma City. Tricia Freeman has joined the agency as copywriter. The shop has also hired recent graduates Katie McCoy and Emily Wells as account coordinators and Gina Streller as media assistant. Kelly Griffin has been appointed administrative assistant.
Bill Russo has arrived at e-Rewards, a Dallas-based e-mail marketing and rewards program, as vice president of sponsor programs. Russo comes to e-Rewards from Epsilon, where he was vice president of client services, with responsibility for the company's Hilton HHonors account.
Terri Dismukes has joined Griffith Phillips Creative, Dallas, as account supervisor for its Nortel Networks and Verizon clients. Prior to joining GPC, Dismukes was with commercial aviation company Nordram Group. Laura Lambeth, a former public relations account executive with Dawson Duncan Communications, has been recruited as copywriter.
Laurie Fickman has moved to Global Communication Works in Houston as director of public relations. Fickman most recently served as press secretary for Houston mayor Lee P. Brown.
Dallas-based copywriting company 1400 Words has added several new staffers. Account executive Laura Holt has arrived from the Boyer Group. Elizabeth Stewart, formerly an account executive at Group Baronet, and Dee Anna Smith, most recently a copywriter at Italia Advertising, have both joined the company as writers, as has Helen White, a 16-year communications professional whose background includes scriptwriting, technical writing and video production.
Shelton Communications Group, a Dallas high-tech marketing company, has recruited Althea Borud as senior account executive for the communications group and Ginger Grinsfelder as account executive for the semiconductor group. Before joining SCG, Borud and Grinsfelder both were with Levenson Public Relations, working on the agency's high-tech accounts. Rita Archer has come aboard as the agency's senior public relations manager. Before joining Shelton, Archer served as vice president of public relations for Dallas agency Michael & Partners.

Pro-Cuts Franchise Corp. in Hurst has hired Paul Sturiale as the haircare firm's director of communications and public relations. Sturiale arrives at Pro-Cuts from Regian & Wilson/Grey Worldwide, where he supported the Pro-Cuts account as vice president of public relations.
Ornelas & Associates, Dallas, has named Janie Sanchez group account director. Sanchez comes to the agency from Lopez Negrete in Houston.
Tocquigny Advertising + Design has welcomed Diana DiOrio as its newest account director. DiOrio most recently worked in account management at Fisher Creative Integrated Communications.
