NEW YORK

DDB Worldwide Communications Group has appointed Mark O'Brien chief financial officer for North America and North Asia, effective Jan. 1. In his new position at the New York-based agency network, O'Brien, 38, will work closely with North America and North Asia regional management, office presidents and CFOs on financial, client and operational matters. As CFO of North Asia, he succeeds Steve Burton, who was recently named chief operating officer of DDB Latin America. O'Brien has served as director of worldwide finance at DDB Worldwide since 1998.

Euro RSCG Worldwide in New York has appointed Peggy Nahmany director of global communications, effective immediately. She will be responsible for developing and implementing communications strategies for the agency network, as well as serve as corporate representative. She succeeds Teri Everett, who has joined News Corp. in Los Angeles. Nahmany arrived at Euro RSCG in New York in 1997 as global communications manager.

Andrew Hunter has joined MTV2 as vice president of network development, a new position. He will help expand distribution and create stronger partnerships with affiliates for MTV2, a cable TV programming service of MTV Networks in New York, among other duties.

Greco Ethridge Group, with offices in New York and Boston, has named Dave Kuell vice president, brand reality. Prior to joining the agency, he was general manager for Munaco.

Sekani, a global media-solutions company with offices in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta and Germany, has appointed Ron Bernard chief executive officer. He joins Sekani from NFL Enterprises, where he served as president since 1993. Sekani co-founders Armistead Whitney and Todd Pavlin will continue in their senior executive roles as an integral part of the company's management team.

Comedy Central in New York has hired two new executives. John Sanborn was named vice president, chief creative officer of new media at the enterprises and new-media division. He is responsible for leading the network's new-media creative group as it implements a digital strategy that will include the Internet, enhanced TV, wireless and other digital platforms. Richard De Croce was appointed vice president, international; he will be based in New York and arrives from Winstar Worldwide, where he was vice president of international sales.

Widmeyer Communications has ap- pointed Posie Di Sesa vice president and director of New York operations for the Washington, D.C.-based public affairs and communications firm. She will oversee growth and development of the company's New York office. Her experience includes nearly eight years as an independent public relations consultant.

Renegade Marketing Group in New York has promoted three staffers. Trip Hunter was elevated to vice president, director of guerrilla marketing; he pre-viously worked as the account director for IBM developerWorks. Rob Fields was promoted to account supervisor of the guerrilla-marketing division; he previ- ously served as an account executive working on Panasonic Technics World Music Festival and Panasonic Harmony Series, among other accounts. Sam Medina has risen to account executive; he for- merly worked as project manager. In addition, Kate Costello has joined the shop as special project manager for the guerrilla-marketing division; her prior experience includes developing marketing programs for Actmedia. Emily Jeary has arrived as a senior account executive; she previously worked at agencies such as McCann-Erickson and N.W. Ayer & Partners.

Condé Nast Publications in New York has promoted Mitchell Fox to executive vice president, corporate sales, effective immediately. He most recently served as senior vice president, corporate sales.

Scott Hayes was named Detroit advertising manager for Parade Publications. Before joining the New York-based company, he worked as Detroit man-ager and automotive advertising director for Today's Homeowner magazine. In addition, Marie Tassini was promoted to vice president of direct response advertising for Parade; she joined the com-pany in 1990.

Elyse Zaccaro was promoted to executive producer, series and specials, for VH1 in New York. She has served as director of series and specials at VH1 since 1997.

Partners & Levit has hired Nancy Salamone as vice president and account management supervisor. Before joining the New York-based agency, she was vice president of marketing at the United States Life Insurance Co.

Alan James was named chief financial officer of CarroSELL in New York. Be- fore joining the company, which enters into concessions agreements with airports to provide baggage-conveyor-system ad-vertising, he served as a senior financial advisor to private e-commerce venture capital funds.

RichFX, a creator of e-commerce infrastructure solutions, has appointed Harry Plonskier chief financial officer. Prior to arriving at the New York-based company, he served as chief financial officer for Omnipoint Corp.

Media Logic has appointed Tamara Caruso public relations account supervi- sor. Prior to joining the Albany-based agency, she worked as high-tech public relations account supervisor at Mullen in Wenham, Mass.

NEW JERSEY

CommonHealth in Parsippany has named Robert Saporito chief financial officer. He arrives at the healthcare-communications network, a WPP Group company, from New York-based Siegelgale, where he was chief financial officer. Separately, The Conectics Group, the media, marketing-research and account-planning unit of CommonHealth, has appointed Jules Korzeniowski executive vice president, managing director. He most recently served as president of Thunder House Healthcare.

Paul Gordon was promoted to senior vice president—sales for Konica Photo Im-aging, located in Mahwah. He formerly served as vice president—sales, Eastern region.

Zanders USA has named Joney Bartucci the new territory manager for the Great Lakes region. Before becoming part of the Wayne-based company's sales team, she was national sales manager for a paper-products/greeting-card manufacturer in Chicago.

PENNSYLVANIA

Roska Direct has hired Mark Dhuy as a senior print buyer; he joins the Montgomeryville agency from Devon Direct Euro RSCG, where he worked as an associate producer. In addition, Carrie Hawkins has arrived as a staff artist; she joins the team after having worked as a free- lance artist.

Signature Communications in Phila- delphia has hired two new staffers: Jill Stone, who was named senior art director, and Brian Kemerley, who was appointed an art director.

Pomco Graphic Arts, located in Phil- adelphia, has hired one staffer and pro- moted two others. Stephen Barr has joined the company's sales team as an account executive; his prior experience includes working at companies such as Penn Graphic Associates and Premier Print- ing Services. Dan Decker was elevated to director of sales and marketing, and Ron Bauman has risen to an account execu- tive position.AL LEVINE
