NEW YORKDDB Worldwide Communications Group has appointed Mark O'Brien chief financial officer for North America and North Asia, effective Jan. 1. In his new position at the New York-based agency network, O'Brien, 38, will work closely with North America and North Asia regional management, office presidents and CFOs on financial, client and operational matters. As CFO of North Asia, he succeeds Steve Burton, who was recently named chief operating officer of DDB Latin America. O'Brien has served as director of worldwide finance at DDB Worldwide since 1998.Euro RSCG Worldwide in New York has appointed Peggy Nahmany director of global communications, effective immediately. She will be responsible for developing and implementing communications strategies for the agency network, as well as serve as corporate representative. She succeeds Teri Everett, who has joined News Corp. in Los Angeles. Nahmany arrived at Euro RSCG in New York in 1997 as global communications manager.Andrew Hunter has joined MTV2 as vice president of network development, a new position. He will help expand distribution and create stronger partnerships with affiliates for MTV2, a cable TV programming service of MTV Networks in New York, among other duties.Greco Ethridge Group, with offices in New York and Boston, has named Dave Kuell vice president, brand reality. Prior to joining the agency, he was general manager for Munaco.Sekani, a global media-solutions company with offices in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta and Germany, has appointed Ron Bernard chief executive officer. He joins Sekani from NFL Enterprises, where he served as president since 1993. Sekani co-founders Armistead Whitney and Todd Pavlin will continue in their senior executive roles as an integral part of the company's management team.Comedy Central in New York has hired two new executives. John Sanborn was named vice president, chief creative officer of new media at the enterprises and new-media division. He is responsible for leading the network's new-media creative group as it implements a digital strategy that will include the Internet, enhanced TV, wireless and other digital platforms. Richard De Croce was appointed vice president, international; he will be based in New York and arrives from Winstar Worldwide, where he was vice president of international sales.Widmeyer Communications has ap- pointed Posie Di Sesa vice president and director of New York operations for the Washington, D.C.-based public affairs and communications firm. She will oversee growth and development of the company's New York office. Her experience includes nearly eight years as an independent public relations consultant.Renegade Marketing Group in New York has promoted three staffers. Trip Hunter was elevated to vice president, director of guerrilla marketing; he pre-viously worked as the account director for IBM developerWorks.
