Jennifer Petteway has progressed to senior media planner and buyer at The Graham Group, Lafayette.

NEW MEXICO
Joining Wright Edge, Albuquerque, are Sonja Bolin, Mariko Suga and Jill White. Bolin, an account executive, will be responsible for client services and new business development in the Tel-Edge division, which serves car dealers. She previously handled advertising and customer relations at an auto dealership. Suga, a graphic artist, was with Wildhirt Fowlkes Graphics, Beverly Hills, Calif. She will create print work and the shop's campaign marketing guides. White is a sales assistant for Tel-Edge.

OKLAHOMA
Vickie Dawkins has joined the staff of Communicating Arts, Tulsa, as creative director. Prior to arriving at the agency, Dawkins worked as a freelance writer and creative director following 11 years as a writer and producer for Williams Companies in Tulsa. Thomas Evans also comes aboard as an account executive. Evans previously held sales positions in both Tulsa and Dallas.

TEXAS
SicolaMartin, Austin, has welcomed back Lloyd Sheep as vice president of account
services and executive team manager. A 25-year marketing and advertising veteran, Sheep left SicolaMartin in 1998 to serve as vice president of strategic planning for Fellers Marketing & Advertising.
GSD&M, Austin, has hired Derek Pletch as creative director and copywriter on the SBC Communications account. He began his career at The Martin Agency, Richmond, Va., and for the past six years has worked at Carmichael Lynch, Minneapolis. Tripp Westbrook has moved to the agency from Fallon McElligott, New York, where he was an associate group head. As creative director and copywriter, he will work on SBC Communications. Teresa Elliot comes to the agency as associate creative director working on the SBC Communications, Lennox and How2.com accounts. She was previously a copywriter at Wieden & Kennedy, Portland, Ore. Joining the agency after several years of freelancing, Christopher Staub, senior copywriter, will work on Southwest Airlines, the PGA Tour and Rolling Stone. His client experience includes Nike, Adidas and the Women's World Cup. Lori Hudson has been promoted to senior art director for the Avenue I Group. She was previously art director for Southwest Airlines, the PGA Tour and Wal-Mart.
Betsy Smith recently joined r. j. kolar advertising and marketing, Austin, as packaging account manager. Smith has five years of experience as a packaging engineer for 3M. She also worked as a sales representative for Austin Foam Plastics. Smith, who holds a B.S. degree in package engineering from Michigan State University, is currently pursuing a master of business administration in marketing at St. Edwards University in Austin. The agency has also hired John Elmore as an assistant account executive. Elmore previously worked as a corporate recruiter for Trilogy and helped found that company's spin-off online operation, CollegeHire.com. He will work on the Dell and 3M electrical products division accounts at the agency.
