_ TEXAS Ten former employees have rejoined Bromley Communications in San Antonio. Returning are associate creative director Santiago Garces, formerly creative director at Daniels & Roberts; senior account executive Susan Baxter, previously Midwest account executive for Galavision; associate creative director Rafael Serrano, most recently with Wieden & Kennedy; and associate media director Clara Roman, formerly with Starcom Field Marketing Services. Other returning employees are West region senior field manager Marie Ann Dougherty, Southeast field manager Victoria Hegewisch, account service supervisor Fernando Turpin, media buying supervisor Tamara Ordaz, media planning supervisor Toni Ellard and illustrator Jaime Sustaita. J. Walter Thompson has elevated deputy general manager Scott Williams to senior partner. Staff members newly appointed as partners at the Houston agency are account director Patricia Lanning, production and traffic director Cesar Madera and director of operation Eugenia Sylvester. The Dallas Morning News has promoted Doug Olsson to vice president of display advertising. Olsson will oversee the retail, national, La Fuente and sales development departments at the Dallas newspaper. Randall Brant has become display advertising director. Pat West has been hired as sales development director. Lisa Redford has progressed to classified advertising director. Rose Tucker has joined the staff of Dave & Buster's in Dallas as director of field marketing. Previously, Tucker supervised a nine-state market team for Pepsi-Cola while serving as an account supervisor at TLP. Susanne Kraft has moved up to creative editor at 501 Post in Austin. Bates Southwest in Houston has hired Greg Giles as copywriter. Giles was formerly a copywriter and producer at Stan & Lou Advertising. Becca Howard has joined the agency as manager of print traffic and production art. She was previously with Graphic Systems. Artist Scott Balkcom has joined Video Post & Transfer in Dallas. Vivian Marks, formerly with View Studios in Los Angeles, was hired as post producer. Regian & Wilson/Grey Advertising in Fort Worth has welcomed Brandon Shelley as assistant account executive. Shelley was previously a media planner and buyer at Levenson & Hill in Dallas and a public relations consultant at Diversified Artists of Arlington. Art director Stephen Williams has arrived at the agency from J. Walter Thompson Specialized Communications of Dallas. Bart Hirneise, also formerly of JWT Specialized Communications, has joined the shop as copywriter. MC2 Creative in Austin has added Ray O'Hara to its staff as senior account manager, handling all senior design and Web site accounts as well as new business acquisition. O'Hara was previously employed at The Corporate Authority in Chicago. Roger Christian & Co. in San Antonio has three new employees. The company has hired Marcos Hernandez, formerly of Cartel Creativo, as art director. Adam Stevenson has joined the operation as junior art director. Eva Walderman has been appointed production manager. _ OKLAHOMA Third Degree Advertising and Communications in Oklahoma City has named Mickie Lara director of client service, a newly established position within the agency. Lara joins Third Degree from The Journal Record, where she served as circulation promotion manager. _ ALABAMA In Birmingham, David Vaughan has advanced to director of home projects at Southern Accents magazine. _ SOUTH CAROLINA Span-America Medical Systems in Greenville has added Vickie Fowler as marketing manager. Brandon Advertising in Myrtle Beach has appointed Eric Throneburg production designer. _ TENNESSEE The Buntin Group in Nashville has promoted Josephine Ballentine and Anne Birke to senior vice president and group media director and senior vice president and broadcast production manager, respectively. _ VIRGINIA Laughlin, Marinaccio & Owens Advertising in Arlington has promoted two staff members. Sherri Green has moved up to senior account executive and Mindy Carter has advanced to account executive at the agency. In Richmond, The Martin Agency has hired Melanie Jones and Jen Melgard as account executives, Laura Lantz as receptionist and Vanessa Mortarino as broadcast assistant. Fraser Wallace Advertising in Reston has named Jeffrey Tanck director of marketing and research.
