When it comes to custom publications, Jeremy Morris, recently named svp and director of business development publishing at Campbell-Ewald, isn’t a big advocate of seeking safe and sound solutions.

Most custom publications “meet client objectives and are quite safe and sensibly planned,” said the 39-year-old London native, most recently director of national publishing at MMP Custom Media in Minneapolis. “But at the end of the day, they are missing that ‘wow’ factor. That’s what you need to connect with readers.”
