LOS ANGELES The independent Lambesis Agency and Skyy Vodka are unveiling "edgy, sexy" outdoor, print and online ads featuring imagery by photographer David LaChapelle, a client representative said.

New outdoor executions break at the beginning of January, according to the rep. Creative, initially launching in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami and Chicago, will roll out nationally by the end of the month.

A continuation of Skyy Spirits' "Cocktail moments" campaign—created in 1998 by Carlsbad, Calif.-based Lambesis—the LaChapelle photographs are meant to "depict [the] style and sophistication . . . and innovation" of both the vodka and those who enjoy it, the rep said.

The first of the three-image series, entitled "Antagonist #54," shows a woman in a little black dress against a dramatic nighttime cityscape. Beside her partially exposed leg, the hand of an unseen man holds a martini. In the foreground, Skyy Vodka's signature cobalt-blue bottle is prominently displayed atop a white mod cocktail table.

LaChapelle worked closely with Lambesis creative director Chad Farmer on the effort's concept and execution, the rep said.

In addition to outdoor, the new work is scheduled to appear in February issues of entertainment and lifestyle publications including InStyle, Rolling Stone, Interview and Flaunt. It will also run on Web sites such as ESPN.com, Match.com, Yahoo.com and Skyy.com.

Based in San Francisco, Skyy Spirits spent $10 million on advertising from January to October 2005, per Nielsen Monitor-Plus. A project-specific spend was not available.
