New Media Buying Boss, Miami GM Arrive
DALLAS--Montemayor y Asociados in San Antonio recruited a former Bromley, Aguilar & Associates staffer to oversee its media buying operations and appointed a general manager for its new Miami office.
Tamara Ordaz, former media brand manager at San Antonio's Bromley, Aguilar, has been hired as vice president and director of media buying. Ordaz, a native of Mexico City, has nine years experience placing U.S. Hispanic media.
Ordaz has worked for GSD&M and Amistad Media Group, both in Austin, Texas. She will supervise media buying for Montemayor clients including Chrysler Corp., Circle K, Gambrinus, Sabormex, Taco Cabana and Mary Kay Cosmetics.
To head its recently established Miami office, Montemayor hired Jacqueline Torres, former promotions director for New York Hispanic radio station WSKQ-FM.
Torres has also served as network sales and marketing coordinator for CBS Americas Spanish Radio Network in New York, where she developed new business for that market and Los Angeles. She began her career as a sales rep in Puerto Rico.
In addition to managing Montemayor's Miami office, Torres has been charged with coordinating and executing special events and programs for the agency's clients in New York and Chicago.
"We are fortunate to have added Tamara and Jackie to our firm," said agency president Carlos Montemayor. "Their experience, capabilities, talents and commitment will enable us to assist our clients more effectively in reaching the Hispanic consumer." --Steve Krajewsk
