Moffatt Does Egghead Branding

Moffatt/Rosenthal, which lost a pitch for Egghead.com's account last year, is now doing offline branding projects for the computer product retailer.
The client called from "out of nowhere" a few months ago offering print and radio work, said agency partner and creative director Rob Rosenthal. The shop has since created a campaign touting the online retailer's services as perfect for small businesses.
"We make small businesses feel big," reads one print ad. To the left is a slip of paper with a company name scrawled on it; to the right, the same name is engraved on a bulky plaque.
Another ad features an employee of the month plaque with the same man pictured a dozen times. "You, dear friend, now have the means to unleash the professional dynamo within," reads the copy.
The print ads are running in various business and computing titles. Radio ads, airing in spot markets nationwide, carry the same themes forward.
"We thought it was a nice way to break out--to present the fears of buying equipment in a way people can relate to," Rosenthal said.
Moffatt placed the media for the radio; Novus Marketing, Plymouth, Minn., handled the print buy.
