NEW YORK Modem Media in San Francisco has redesigned the Uniroyal Tires Web site.

The site (www.uniroyal.com) recommends tires based on driving style and the year, make and model of a vehicle. It also offers tire catalogs for cars, minivans, sport utility vehicles, pickups and commercial vehicles. Visitors to the site can review care and warranty information and sign up to receive a "rotation reminder," an e-mail that reminds them when its time to rotate their tires.

The primary goal of the site is to "streamline the tire research experience, so that users quickly find the information they need in order to make an informed Uniroyal tire purchase," said Brett Miller, Modem Media director of marketing strategy and services.

The Norwalk, Conn.-based interactive shop has worked with Uniroyal's parent company, Michelin North America, since 1999. Last year, Modem redesigned Michelin's brand Web site (www.michelinman.com) and the BFGoodrich Tires site (www.bfgoodrichtires.com) [IQ Daily Briefing, Nov. 22, 2002].
