MMG Drives Tourists to 'VisitMo'

CHICAGO The Missouri Division of Tourism looks to increase awareness of its VisitMo.com Web site through its latest advertising campaign from MMG Worldwide.

The work from the Kansas City, Mo., agency, depicts people talking about how, when and where they like to "VisitMo." The spots broke the week of March 13.

Print advertising continues the theme, but depicts Missouri attractions like St. Louis' Gateway Arch and other getaway destinations. Some ads feature Missouri-born celebrities like entertainers Sheryl Crow and Andy Williams and professional golfer Hale Irwin.

The effort is intended to drive traffic to the division's Web site, VisitMo.com, where people can get information about the state's attractions and plan a vacation.

"We believe that we have come up with a strong formula of flash and focus to highlight Missouri's great collection of attractions," said John Robinson, director of the Missouri Division of Tourism, in a statement.

The Missouri Department of Tourism will spent $3 million on the campaign, according to a representative.
