NEW YORK After 23 years at Coca-Cola, global marketing chief Mary Minnick said she is leaving the company.

Minnick, who was once considered as a possible successor to CEO Neville Isdell, was recently passed over for the president, COO position in favor of Muhtar Kent.

“Some observers thought she might be tapped for the COO job. When Kent was named, that probably accelerated her personal decision to relocate to the United Kingdom,” said Beverage Digest editor John Sicher.
