Periscope has won an assignment from Minnesota Hockey to raise the profile of the sport among the state's young people.
The Minneapolis shop will produce a print and outdoor recruitment campaign this summer that will seek to increase participation while also luring adults to serve as coaches and officials.
The effort will be the first in the organization's 54-year history. Though participation in the sport is high compared with the rest of the country, it has leveled off in the past few years, according to Mark Jorgensen, executive administrator for Minnesota Hockey.
The agency won the account after a review involving Minneapolis shops Olson + Co. and Kerker, Jorgensen said. Billings were undisclosed.
