NEW YORK Media veteran Virginia Rowe will retire at the end of January from MindShare North America, where she’s senior partner and print director. Rowe decided to leave the business to pursue personal interests, a company spokesman said.

A 25-year veteran of the media business, Rowe directs MindShare’s print group, overseeing accounts such as Gillette, Bristol-Myers Squibb and American Express. Named Mediaweek‘s Magazine All-Star in 2004, she earned a reputation for being straightforward and willing to come up with solutions when negotiations hit a roadblock.
