$150 Mil. Win in Italy a Precursor to Fight for $700 Mil. U.S. Task
NEW YORK–A significant win in the worldwide battle between the Interpublic Group of Cos. and WPP Group for the heart of Unilever’s media business can be chalked up in the MindShare column.
The WPP media giant won $150 million in planning and buying duties in Italy last week. “By moving to MindShare, [Unilever’s executives in Italy] are coming in line with Unilever elsewhere and are linking in with the WPP side,” said a client representative in London, who confirmed the win.
