Microsoft named Michael Sievert corporate vp for Windows product management. The Redmond, Wash., company said he will lead marketing, management and planning on products such as the next version of Windows, slated for release in 2006. Sievert had been evp and CMO for AT&T Wireless Services since 2002; he previously worked at E*Trade. Sievert replaces Tom Button, who has been on a leave of absence due to family medical reasons. IPG’s McCann Erickson is lead agency on Microsoft.
